A Winter Outfit Idea and Some New Year’s Inspiration

01

“Start over, my darling. Be brave enough to find the life you want and courageous enough to chase it. Then start over and love yourself the way you were always meant to.” ~ Madalyn Beck

Tomorrow morning, on the first day of the year, as you awaken, just be still and breathe. Connect to the deepest desires you have for your life. A new year is symbolic of starting over, we make resolutions and feel inspired to finally “get things right”…this year. But the truth is you can begin again every single minute of every day. When things aren’t going right, you can simply take a deep breath and start over. So sit in quiet and do a little soul searching. Ask your heart, “What do I really, really want? Then just listen. When you know what you want, it’s easier to make choices that will get you there, and I promise that if you take the time, every day to sit and listen, the path will be clear. Remember…your greatest blessing is your unlimited power to choose in every single moment.

I read today that the day has 1440 minutes. If you think of the day as the gift of a series of minutes (moments) instead of 24 hours then you realize that you have 1440 moments to choose how you want your life to be. Thinking of life this way makes your dreams, desires and resolutions feel much more attainable. If you make a mistake or feel that things aren’t going as you would like, or as planned, it isn’t the end of the world. You can take a breath, regroup and make a different choice..

2019 is full of possibilities. What will you choose in this moment?

My wish for you all is that your dreams come true in this new year and that you have your heart’s desire! I can’t wait to hear what your plans are and I can’t wait to share my plans for Crazy Blonde Life with you! Happy New Year!

Wow! What a great way to look at a day…1440 moments to make decisions. What an eye-opener. Thanks so much for sharing that. And your outfit is wonderful, as always – you have such great style! Happy New Year to you!

    Hi Suzanne,
I love this post! The idea of starting each day with intention is so obviously perfect (and I guess I do that sort of subconsciously. Does that still count as “with intention”, I don’t think so!) But what I mean is I always have a general idea of my plan for the day. I want to be more conscious of the 1440 minutes ticking by and use them better. I do tend to let a lot of time just sort of disappear (Instagram!). I want to stop doing that, and to get more out of my days. I intend to spend more time creating, and less time flailing around bumping into things that “need” to get done. Starting the day with yoga helps me a lot, and I’m much stronger and feel more confident in my body than I have in a long time. I think adding a few minutes of meditation will be really helpful.
There’s always room for improvement in my life, of course. But I’m super grateful for what I have, and I have new, big things to focus on this year. I think it will be mostly great!
    Xo Heidi

      Hi Heidi

I’m fairly certain by looking at your amazing and beautiful art that you’re doing much more right than you are wrong. Your work inspires me and you are obviously meditating as you paint! Everyone does it differently. I am truly in awe of what you do! I can’t wait to see what YOU do in 2019! Happy New Year!
