Life is not all about getting things done, it’s about getting the right things done! The results are more important than the time it takes to achieve them. Sometimes you need to stop and ask yourself if what you’re working on is worth the time and effort it’s taking. Is it taking you toward what you really want? Sometimes we try to achieve perfection (I’m so guilty!), but life is not always easy, perfect or exactly what you hope. Choose to be grateful for the good things you have, get the things done that matter and let the perfection go!
Be grateful for what is and work with it, not against it. It’s easier to be happy when you’re not complaining about your problems. Try your best to be positive…usually, a change in perception is all it takes. Instead of focusing on the frustration and what’s going wrong, adjust your attitude and focus on making the best of the moment that you have. After all tomorrow never comes because it’s always today and the joy truly is in the journey!
It might sound silly, but I stressed way too much over photographing outfits for Crazy Blonde Life earlier today. I wanted the outfits to feel more spring like (because hopefully it’s coming soon), only, it was freezing outside. I tried so many different things and finally gave up and added a pair of olive green pants to this leopard coat and over-the-knee boots. This time of the year, I think we are all tired of bundling up and not many people have 30 different coats to brighten up an outfit. I ended up really liking the pants with this outfit instead of denim because they were a little unexpected and made the outfit feel “not so basic” and I think this color green is basically a neutral! My Stuart Weitzman boots have been life savers this season because they keep my legs so warm. I’m very cold natured (with the exception of a hot flash here and there) so I need all the help I can get staying warm! I was planning to wear a burgundy hat, but then realized that my jacket had a hood so I added this cute Stella & Dot bag instead.

Love this look Suzanne! I myself just found a green/blue winter coat on sale and wanted it for the color. i get tired of winter too! Love your coat, and the olive jeans are fabulous on you. Hi Jess! After I wrote this post I thought it might be nice to get a coat that was a bold color! I have a red one, but a blue would be nice! I might see what’s on sale…that’s one great thing about this time of year!

Great message as always, my friend! I think too many people think it is too hard to change their perspective and quite honestly, I find that one of the easiest ways to make changes for the better! I love this outfit so much and the olive pants are spot on for keeping it not so basic. This coat is magnificent and I still can’t believe that I don’t yet own a faux fur leopard coat. Must rectify soon!

It’s not always as easy as it sounds, but being happy sure beats the heck out of being angry, sad, etc. I have more "clogged pipes" about some things than others so getting myself out of a funk when my pipes are really clogged is harder, but sometimes recognizing it is the first step!
