This year has been such a wild ride!  It all started on Christmas Eve when Sarah, my youngest daughter and her boyfriend announced that they were getting married!  Since that time, Sarah has moved out of her apartment at High Point University, they’ve had two weddings and moved to Tennessee.  In between, Sarah and I shopped for consignment finds to furnish their apartment, painted furniture, picked out fabric and got everything ready for them to move.  

Shortly after Sarah and Will announced that they were getting married, my oldest daughter Lauren and her family moved to Atlanta.  They moved into an apartment and then bought a house, which we helped them move into.  I’ve been to Tennessee twice, Boston twice, and Atlanta twice this year and I’m headed to Atlanta and Tennessee again next month!  All of that doesn’t even include the two blogger conferences in Florida and New York and the beach trip!  I like travel, and hopefully soon I’ll  be going some place warm and tropical, or some place with an Eiffel Tower!  

I am savoring the last days of summer, but the idea of going into a season of pulling in and staying home sounds nice to me.  I’m ready to fluff the house a little, light some candles and have nice quiet dinners by the fire!  If anyone else needs to move, they are going to have to do it without me!

In this post, I’m wearing an Anthropologie dress that I got at the beginning of the summer and I think it transitions really well into fall.  I added my Chloe bag, and the Chloe shoes from last season that I’ve worn constantly.  The turquoise earrings (also love these) add a pop of color and my glasses are Michael Kors.  

It’s been almost a week since Sarah’s wedding…time goes by so quickly.  I hope you’re all having a great week and savoring all the wonderful moments of your life!
