Sunsets, sandbars, blue skies and fun at the beach, that’s how I would describe Bald Head Island this week.  The week started off with just me at the beach, but that quickly changed!  My friend Sara-Anne came to join me and we had so much fun talking, eating, and taking lots and lots of pictures!  I have some really great posts coming thanks to Sara-Anne!  Soon after, Sarah and Will arrived followed by Garrick and Lauren, Chris and Hudson!  We have a house full and it’s the best chaos ever! 

I’m sharing pictures of some of my favorite moments so far!  I’m trying to savor each and every minute of this trip.  I’ve realized more this year than ever, how quickly time goes and how much things change.  Rebecca is coming on Monday and I know that this coming week will be one of the few that we’ll all be together.  I can’t even begin to describe how grateful I am for our place at Bald Head and my family!

This was the most beautiful sunset that I shared on Instagram the first night I was here.

I snapped some pictures of Sarah and Will on the beach yesterday!  We are in full wedding planning mode at this point!

We took Hudson to the beach right after they all got here yesterday…he was a little afraid, but I’m sure that by the time he leaves he’ll be loving every minute of it!

I got this fabulous beach hat by Brooklyn Hat Company (similar here) at Island Passage.  It’s great for keeping the sun off my face!

This picture is the inside of the Chapel on Bald Head.  It’s such a beautiful view of the marsh.

My version of a caprese salad.  I use fresh tomatoes and mozzarrella with pesto, sprinkle with flaky sea salt and freshly ground pepper and drizzle with pesto; it’s easy, summery and delicious!
