It has just hit me that my baby daughter is really getting married on Friday!  I have been so busy with planning and blogging and every other thing that I haven’t really taken the time to stop and think about it!  WE ARE HAVING A WEDDING!!  Sarah and her fiance Will, are having a small ceremony on Friday and then our families are getting together for dinner and a celebration.  Later in the summer we are planning a bigger wedding, but for now we don’t have much time.  I know it will be a beautiful evening and I want to make it as special as possible!

It’s a very bittersweet thing for me because I know that Sarah will be moving away and I’ll miss her so much, but I know that she will be happy and is starting a new adventure in her life.  I hope you’ll follow along as I share my emotions, recipes and wedding ideas on the blog!

I have ordered flowers for my silver punch bowl for the middle of the table and I’m thinking that the table will look something like the picture below.  I have a lot of cooking to do if I’m going to pull this off!

The cake that Sarah chose looks a lot like this.  The layers will be filled with raspberry buttercream.  I know it will be beautiful and delicious.

After dinner, we’ll cut the cake and have a champagne toast!  I’m hoping that the weather will be nice and we can have the toast by the fire outside!

I’m off to the grocery store to get everything I need to make Smoked Chicken Salad with Blueberry Vinaigrette, Orzo Pasta Salad with Roasted Vegetables and more!
