Not long ago, a friend gave me this great mug that says “blogging day”!  I drink my coffee from it every morning and I love it because every day is blogging day!  The first thing I do every day is make coffee and start blogging.  I hope you enjoy reading as much as I enjoy coming up with blog ideas and creating this blog every day!  So…welcome to my new blog!  I hope you like how it looks!  For today, I chose to blog about fashion.  I’ve had all of these pieces in my closet except for the boots for several seasons.  Yes, even the jeans!  I was inspired to create an outfit with basic pieces that looked anything but basic!  What do you think?

I always thought I was too short to wear tall boots, but when I saw these great ones from DolceVita and they were (and still are) on major sale, I decided to try them.  I really love that the higher heel makes my legs look longer.  The weather has been so crazy here…cold one week and warm the next!  It’s so hard to know what to wear from day to day and I might not get too much more wear from these boots this season, but I will definitely wear them next season.  I bought the coat from Nordstrom last year and it was only $39.00!  This one is similar for only $37.50!  Throw on a black turtleneck and an animal print scarf with your jeans and you’ve got an outfit that really stands out!
