The house is full of family, and we are getting ready for the festivities of the next couple of nights! Hudson is excited that Santa is coming and is bringing his choo-choo train blocks (among so many other things) and I’m just happy that our family can be together for Christmas!  I’m stepping over dog bones and crumbs, worrying that I’ve forgotten something and admittedly a little tired, but thats okay!  I know that when it gets quiet again and everyone is gone that I will miss them all terribly!  That’s the bittersweet part of Christmas for me.

I bought this blouse on a whim as Garrick and I were leaving New York.  There was a J. Crew down the street from the hotel and I popped in to buy some Christmas pj’s.  This plaid top caught my eye and I’m so glad I decided to get it!  It’s like a shirt jacket…very thick and warm.  The vest (now on sale) that I’m wearing over has been the perfect thing for the weather we’ve been having here.  I styled it with black jeans (I’m also obsessed with these) and my Stuart Weitzman boots (on sale) that I wear everywhere and a fun pair of beaded black earrings from Anthropologie (similar here and here).  

My next post will come out sometime on Christmas Day!  I can’t wait to share some pictures of Hudson and a few of my recipes and I’m excited to share my “best of…” post for 2017!  Happy Holidays to everyone!  Wishing you all the joy and happiness!
