I love this quote by W.E.B. DuBois because life is so full of wonderful surprises that can lead to magical transformational moments! 

Getting dressed up for occasions and parties is fun, but when the weather is cold, what I really love is a pair of distressed jeans, a cozy sweater and comfortable booties!  The outfit that I’m wearing is more or less my uniform when I have a choice.  It’s comfortable and luxurious and warm.  I threw on some vintage pearls with this cozy sweater, my distressed jeans (mine are from Articles of Society and very affordable at $64), and some booties from Tory Burch that I’ve owned for probably 12 years, and still love.  This outfit, along with a few others that are similar will take me everywhere until the weather starts to get warmer.  This sweater from Vince is also great with black jeans and a black tee underneath.  I added the garland for some holiday fun!
