I’ve always loved a statement coat to throw on over simple basics!  You can change the way a very plain outfit looks so easily just by throwing on a great coat!  When I saw this red pattern coat from Ann Taylor a few months ago, I knew I had to have it and that it would be the perfect coat for the holiday season.  I’m planning to wear it Christmas Eve and I’ll feel very festive. I bought the over the knee boots in New York last year and I think they add just a bit more oomph to this outfit!

Pockets are always a nice detail.

Leopard is classic and I love this picture of Blair Eadie of Atlantic-Pacific wearing a leopard coat!  The mix of plaid and leopard is perfect!  I was inspired to mix plaid and a leopard coat in this post!
