This outfit was perfect for the cold and windy day we had here yesterday and it is made up mostly of pieces I’ve had in my closet for years.  I bought the Joie skirt on sale at the end of the season last year and really forgot that I had it.  The boots were bought last year and I have worn them so much.  They add extra warmth when it’s really cold outside and they are very comfortable.  Everyone needs a leather jacket and a black turtleneck in their wardrobe.  The vest is a classic piece that I’ll keep forever!

I don’t wear skirts often, but this one combined with boots and tights is as warm as pants.  I have on the black leather jacket over a turtleneck and then I layered the vest over all of it!  It made the cold windy day bearable.

In the new year, I’m going to try really hard to shop my closet more often.  I’m not going to lie, having a blog where I am often photographed wearing outfits makes it hard not to shop. The creativity comes when you wear what you have and combine it differently to make interesting and fun outfits. 

I had such a hard time keeping my hair out of my face for these pictures because of the wind!
