One of my favorite food finds this year is Augusta’s Pimento Cheese. The company is owned by my friend and neighbor Suzie Lambeth! The company is named Augusta’s in honor of Suzie’s mother who is a “fantastic Southern cook”. Anyone from the South knows how important pimento cheese is; it is always in my refrigerator! The pimento cheese comes in four flavors, original, jalapeno, olive and pepper jack. The olive is described as tasting like “a dirty martini on a cracker” – it is my personal crazy blonde favorite.
Augusta’s Pimento Cheese is made with Cabot Cheddar Cheese. Cabot Creamery is a cooperative dairy which is owned and operated by the farmers that produce the cheese. Cabot Cheddar has won every major award for taste and it makes Augusta’s Pimento Cheese the most delicious pimento cheese you will find. Augusta’s is perfect to have on hand for a quick snack or an easy and elegant hors’doeuvre for your next party…just add your favorite cracker and celery sticks. This Crazy Blonde also likes it with pickled vegetables such as pickled okra, pickled green beans and pickled carrots! Must be a Southern thing!

The olive pimento cheese is to die for. The best I ever had!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Should have bought more at Holiday Market. Will definitely stock up next year 🙂

What happened to Augusta’s Pimento cheese? I have looked for it for a while, but can’t find it. It is the absolute best pimento cheese. And you’re right, the olive is to die for!!

Suzie closed the company not long ago. I think she was tired and ready to do something else…she’s selling real estate now! I do miss that olive pimento cheese! Maybe I’ll play around and try to come up with a recipe!
Please tell Suzie that we need her pimento cheese back!! It is my all time favorite and was a staple in my fridge. I still look in the pimento cheese section of the grocery store EVERY time I go in hopes that it will reappear.
