I love books and lately I have wanted to add some new ones to my collection for summer decorating inspiration.

I spotted Windsor Smith’s latest decorating book, Homefront, Design for Modern Living on GOOP

Gwyneth Paltrow wrote the Forward to Homefront and she says that “Windsor’s goal was to create a space for us to love in, not just live in.

I was inspired in a very different way by my next choice, One Man’s Folly by Furlow Gatewood.

This book is very old south and so traditional and beautiful.  It takes a look at Furrow Gatewood’s property in Americas Georgia where he has restored a carriage house and added outbuildings.  The house is an evolution of several decades.  The forward and afterword are by Bunny Williams.

Last but not least, I picked up a Copy of The New Bohemians, Cool & Collected Homes by Justina Blakeney, at Anthropology

This book is full of colorful inspiration and DIY projects.  “The New Bohemians is sure to inspire you to create, to reuse, to grow, to let loose, and to invite some of this cool and collected energy into your own home.”
