The Saturday Edition

I can’t imagine that a year could go by any more quickly! Can you believe it’s already April?! The hydrangeas in our yard are getting ready to bloom and the peonies have popped up and it won’t be long until I can cut a few to bring into the house! I do love this time of the year (minus the pollen).

It’s been unusually warm and humid for the past several days with highs in the 80s but oddly enough, next week, we’ll have highs in the 50s! What’s a girl to wear? I know spring is typically an unpredictable season, but this is ridiculous! I’m not putting up all of my sweaters yet, but I’m also pulling out warm weather pieces because clearly, I have to be prepared for every kind of weather…mostly I’m just wearing jeans and a top to suit the weather! I’m also starting to pack for our cruise on April 20 and I’ll post it all next week!

On another note…we moved some furniture into our bedroom and I’ve almost put everything away…clothes, books, and stuff in general! I’ve stayed up until way too late the past several nights to get it done, but it feels so good! Honestly, I should have shared some pictures because I had things stashed literally everywhere! I do promise that by the end of the week, I’ll have a video and pictures…even though things won’t be completely done. Like I said, we’re still waiting on our electric mirrors and I’ve been stumped over ordering door knobs (I think my brain is tired).

I’ve been getting into the kitchen and cooking more and really enjoying it and life is slowly starting to feel somewhat normal! Wondering how you all liked the last two recipes that were posted (not even one comment)?! I love them both, but the Artichoke Tart really seems springlike and I can’t wait to have lunch on the porch (waiting on the pollen to go away), and enjoy a lazy afternoon (don’t even remember what that might be like)!

I’ve definitely been ordering a few things in anticipation of being in our new bathroom. Technically, I could take a bath, but there is still a ladder in the bathroom and that kind of takes away some of the ambience…but I may go ahead and do it anyway! However, by the end of next week, I want the linen closet stocked with freshly washed new towels, soaps that smell delicious, a stack of new washcloths, a few scented candles and stacks of toilet paper! Keep scrolling for a few ways to turn your bathroom into a luxurious spa and the picture below is definitely linen closet goals! I’ve never had enough room to store everything and it’s going to be so nice!

Switching gears…the look I’m wearing here has been one of my favorites from the past couple of weeks. I think the white pants are unexpected and I’m loving the leopard flats with the sweater!

Wearing the same Frank & Eileen white jeans below with an olive green sweater from Mango. I love the combination of olive green with white in the spring! My shoes are older from Cult Gaia (similar here) and the bag is from Savatte…I’ve been carrying it nonstop!

Mango is having a sale today and everything is 30% off…be sure to take a look because there are some great items at great prices!

Top Handle Tote

This cute tote from Tuckernuck just screams summer!

I’m so impressed with Tuckerneck’s entertaining essentials right now! I’m going to miss setting our table for Easter this year…it’s been a tradition for so long. I always make this Salmon Nicoise for Easter along with a big Mac & Cheese…I’ll have to have a spring dinner party instead!

This seems a little out of order…but that’s my brain lately! Just a few items I found for a well stocked Spa Bathroom!

And a few random thoughts…

A reader asked me about the collaboration between Kate Spade and Target. I took a look and there are some really cute items! They all go on sale April 12 and if you want something, I would shop online because these items are likely to sell out quickly.

I have my eye on this book…I’m including more pink into my decor color palette and coffee table books are a great way to add color without breaking the bank. Coffee table books are also a reflection of your interests and make interesting conversation starters!

I have several built-in bookcases that I’m going to completely redo and I’ve been filling my Pinterest with interesting ideas…be sure to take a look!

The look below feels so fresh and simple for spring!

Whew…that was a long post and my computer is getting ready to die! I hope you all have a great weekend! I’m off to see what just got delivered and to stock my linen closet with toilet paper…sometimes it’s the little things!

~XOXO Suzanne
