Fall Outfit Inspiration in Asheville
Hi Everyone! It’s been a crazy October, but I’m finally home for a few weeks and I’m very excited to have a few weeks to get my life and house together! I’m purging everything, which is what I seem to do when things feel out of control. I do love to travel, although I’ve realized I’m somewhat of a homebody, or at least I like everything to be in order and i’s really hard to keep things in order when you’re gone.
I woke up at 5:00 am on Sunday to catch an 8:00 flight home from Boston. When I got home, we quickly brought my bags inside and I changed clothes so that we could hurry and go to our grandson Graham’s 1st birthday party!
Graham had a cake of his own to eat and when Lauren put it in front of him, he didn’t waste any time…he knew exactly what to do! He made a huge mess and really enjoyed himself and then had a quick bath before rejoining the party! I think the smash cake is a fairly new thing because my kids definitely didn’t have one! Anyway, we stayed for probably too long, came home and made some dinner and then went to bed! I slept like a baby because I was exhausted! I was up early, working on my Saint-Tropez blog post which should be finished soon!
The pictures below were taken on my recent trip to Asheville, NC a few weeks ago. I met two blogger friends there…Annette Duke of ReInventing 50’s and Romy Schorr of Romy Raves. We had an amazing weekend getting go know each other and working (you’ll see more of us soon as we plan to travel and blog together again soon). We stayed in the HGTV Home, which was absolutely adorable and perfect for a girls getaway! We found some great restaurants in Asheville (and a few dive bars because…that’s what was close) haha, we went to Chimney Rock, took in the beautiful views and really had so much fun. If you’re not already following Romy Raves and Annette Duke, be sure to check out their blogs and Instagram!
In the first few pictures, I’m wearing a fabulous pair of velvet pants from Citizens of Humanity with a blouse by Ulla Johnson, who is one of my favorite designers and then I’ve paired the same pants with a cozy sweater for a completely monochromatic look. I’ve been loving this beautiful mahogany color lately because it feels so rich and yummy and perfect for fall!
The new (and sadly, last) issue of Blondie, The Holiday Issue will be coming out on November 1. I have loved creating Blondie, but I feel that I’ve taken on more than I can do and my blog is and will always be my first love! I want to create the best Crazy Blonde Life Blog possible! I think it’s a great thing to try something, and also a good thing to know when to let it go! Thank you to everyone who subscribed to Blondie! If you didn’t subscribe, you’ll love the Holiday Issue and you’ll also get the Spring and Summer issues! They are all packed with great articles and a lot of love!
Thanks so much for reading today!
