Worlds Imagined In a Little Black Dress
This is such a random story but the other day a package was delivered and it was a few things I had ordered from Banana Republic. It was such an oddly shaped pentagon (I think) box! I had never seen anything packaged quite like this before…I had to completely unfold the box to get the sweater out. On the inside of the box, there was a poem and when I read it…I thought WOW, this is so amazing! I kept the box until I had time to write down the poem and I’m sharing it below!
I love that Banana Republic took the time to print these boxes and put a little hope into the world. Please let me know in the comments if you’ve received a box like this…It felt as if the poem was written just for me because I so deeply believe what it says! Let it really sink in when you read it and go through your day thinking about it!
Across the narrow sea, through the looking glass, a dreamer in the wonderland.
Worlds, Imagined!
Down the rabbit hole, up the bean stalk, on a flying carpet,
Worlds, Imagined!
The thrill of curiosity, the excitement of discovery, the Spirit of Adventure.
Worlds, Imagined!
Every Intention and Creation, Every breakthrough starts in imagination first.
Worlds, Imagined!
Where ordinary becomes extraordinary, where everyday has a twist, where reality winks.
Worlds, Imagined!
Where myths are made, where mountains are moved, where Impossible happens.
Worlds, Imagined!
Whether you go to work or to a party, for a city stroll or a ride in the country side, visit a gallery or your own kitchen,
You are the hero of your fairytale, a queen of your domain, in charge of your story.
Worlds, Imagined!
And now about the dress! I’ve linked the exact dress from Xirena, but I had a very hard time finding it so if you think you want this dress…order it now! This dress didn’t look like anything much hanging on the hanger, but when I put it on, I knew it would be mine! It fits so well and is very comfortable! It really could be worn 3 seasons by changing up the shoes and the best part…it has pockets! I paired it with snakeskin boots that I’ve had for a few years but I found a similar pair and I’m also linking a few similar dresses!
One other funny little story…I packed this dress to wear to dinner when I was in New York, but it was raining so hard I decided to wear pants. On the drive home from the airport, I realized I had left it hanging in the closet in my hotel room! I immediately called and they had it in lost and found (thank goodness). Baldy is in NYC today and is picking it up for me so that I can wear it again!
