What's In My Quilted Koala Beach Bag
Is it just me or has the weather been really weird? As I sit here typing this post…the temperature is 41 degrees…that’s hardly warm. I don’t remember a year when I was more excited to get to the beach and feel the warm sun on my face! In light of that, I’ve decided to be prepared so when the opportunity arises…I’m ready! Luckily, Quilted Koala gifted me this amazing beach bag and it’s roomy enough for most everything I might need! Read on to get the details on everything I’m stuffing into my bag and extras that won’t fit!
This year, I’ve decided to stay out of the sun a little more than usual! My skin has taken a beating from all the years that I baked myself! I’m such a sun worshipper and it hasn’t served me well as far as my skin goes! Spray tans have become my new favorite things and in between, I like to slather on self tanner to extend them just a little longer. One of my favorite, very moisturizing self tanners is this one from Clarins. It contains aloe vera, goes on smoothly and sinks into my skin quickly!
Last year, we bought a shade tent for the babies. It’s easy to put up (Baldy’s job) and very large so I’m planning to park my beach chair underneath, pull out a good book and maybe (okay definitely) some rosé and spend the day there! Even though I’ll be under the tent, I’ll still make sure to cover my body in a good sunscreen and this one from Elta MD is one of the best. I use this tinted one on my face because I will be taking the occasional walk on the beach!
When it comes to swim suits…I have my eye on this one from Baobab and I’ve ordered this darling cover-up that will go with every swimsuit I own! A good sun hat and a pair of sunglasses are necessities as well as a cute pair of sandals like these from Tory Burch to complete the look!
I love to pack at least two huge beach towels…one to sit on and one to dry off with! AND…let’s don’t forget snacks…I try to keep them to a minimum because I like to save my calories for an amazing seafood dinner, so I think these cheese wedges from Laughing Cow with a few crackers are perfect! Carrot stick and hummus are another good option! I always put several bottles of water in my bag and when I do take along some rosé, I can fit a whole bottle in this Swell stainless steel chiller and it stays cold for hours! Now all I need to do is kick back and enjoy my book! I think the only thing I forgot to mention is a good lip balm to swipe on frequently so my lips stay moisturized…I like this one with a little sparkle from Bobbi Brown!
I believe I’ve thought of everything necessary for an amazing day at the beach! Let me know if I’ve left anything out! Keep scrolling for a boutique of the items mentioned plus a few other options!
