Weekend Vibes

Yay for the weekend! This past week was jam packed for me and I really accomplished so much in the house…but still so much more to go! I’m thinking by the end of the week I should be just about done! Our new Sleep Number mattress comes on Monday, but the bed frame I’m having made won’t be ready for a little while! The good news is that we have running water, a working toilet and sinks and…the bathtub is ready for a soak. The electrician has a couple of outlets to put in and I’m waiting on a mirror for my closet. Almost 9 months later…

Today, I’m adding lots of fun videos to my Instagram and I’m making an Asparagus Frittata for brunch tomorrow that I’ll share with you all on Monday. I’m also doing a fun springtime cheese board this afternoon that I think you’ll love…it has a different look than most of my boards…I’m really wanting to change things up a bit!

Looking ahead to the week…I’m packing for our Virgin Voyages cruise. We leave on Sunday and we are both ready for a little getaway! I’m kind of stressed about leaving the dogs but I’ve lined up lots of people to help and someone to spend the night every night. Last time we boarded Amos, even though it was a really good place, he still seemed somewhat traumatized for about a week.

The looks I’m sharing today have a weekend/vacay vibe going and I’m in love with all of them! I ordered this dress to pack for the cruise along with these shoes that match…we’ll see. I really like the challenge of mixing my really nice things with Amazon finds! I’m also packing this dress (the link takes you to a video) that is so cute I can’t stand it!

Looking for little things for the bathroom like drawer organizers, trash cans and a laundry hamper or two. In the end, you can have a beautiful space, but it’s the little things that make it liveable!

I’m also thinking of hosting my first ever Derby Party and coming up with ideas for that! I’ve always wanted to throw a Derby Party and I have quite a collection of hats (if I could just find them)! Mint Juleps with homemade lime sorbet are one of my favorite drinks and I can definitely come up with a menu to go with them! Thinking homemade pimento cheese, mini Hot Browns, Shrimp & Grits (I’m getting hungry)! Let me know if you like this idea…

I hope you find a little inspiration!

Have a great weekend!
