Summer Burrata Board - Fresh Local Flavors
It’s officially Burrata Season and I couldn’t be happier! This creamy and delicious cheese lends itself to so many different flavors and the options are endless when it comes to serving. The easiest way in my opinion is to make a board and add summer fruits in any combination you like. This recipe is no cook and couldn’t be easier…farmers market fresh flavors are combined for a beautiful presentation that everyone will rave about! Summer is all about eating local!
For this board (platter), I combined juicy sweet peaches, mint, Burrata topped with a drizzle of really good quality olive oil, flakey Maldon Sea Salt and freshly ground black pepper, along with basil from my garden, cherries, prosciutto and ripe heirloom tomatoes. I sprinkled salt and pepper on the tomatoes as well. This truly is summer on a plate! You’ll want to create a bite with a little of each ingredient to get the full effect!
We love to eat on our front porch in the summer and this was such an easy meal to serve al fresco! We enjoyed a delicious bottle of Hampton Water Rosé which was a perfect pairing! Dry and crisp, this wine is one of my favorites!
If you want a more substantial meal, add some grilled chicken and a loaf of warm crusty bread…still easy and you still don’t have to heat up the kitchen. If you want to mix it up a little, you could add a drizzle of balsamic glaze to the cherries and even a little pesto on the tomatoes and burrata! You seriously can’t go wrong with this board!
The beautiful hand blown wine glasses pictured above are from Haand and the are just exquisite. They fit in your had so well and I love that they are locally made!
I hope you make this and if you do…let me know! What is your favorite way to eat burrata? Let me know in the comments!
