What to Wear and Gift For Valentine's Day
I did a little research and found out that originally, Valentine’s Day was a religious celebration, after that, it was an ancient ritual day, and of course, now…it’s a commercial holiday (heart shaped boxes of candy anyone?). All that means is that Valentine’s Day can be whatever you want it to be. Skip it…although that’s no fun, buy yourself some chocolate, flowers and a bottle of Champagne, or express your love to the people in your life - family, romantic partners and friends in ways big or small!. Galentine’s Day has recently become a way to celebrate Valentine’s day, celebrating love for friends, which is nice for those with no romantic partner.
If you’re trying to figure out what to do on Valentine’s Day, there are no rules and of course, you can celebrate the day of love in any way you want. I personally prefer not to go out to dinner on Valentine’s Day because everyone else is out to dinner on Valentine’s Day. I prefer to cook at home and hopefully open a thoughtful gift (hint, hint). This year, we’ll be in Florida on Valentine’s Day, so I’m sure we’ll be eating something delicious (hopefully not crowded) and toasting to warm weather and sunshine!
Here are a few ideas for what to wear and gift (to yourself and others) for Valentine’s Day!
