Musings & Things To Love…

Today’s post is a little bit of this and a little bit of that!

First up is these adorable painted pumpkins! I was in the mood to be crafty and this is what happened! I used gold and black spray paint to make these pumpkins and they were so easy! I put a video up on Instagram and usually I can upload it to the blog, but for some reason, I couldn’t get it to load but just click here (or on the picture below) to watch the very short video on how to do these! They are so quick and easy and you could use any color paint. I wanted to do some for Halloween (the black) and some that I could also use on my Thanksgiving table (the gold). I think they turned out great and I’m inspired to get crafty again…who knows what I might come up with!

I’ve found the best fall accessories and shoes on Amazon at great (mostly) prices! I’ve ordered several of the items below…the leopard scarf, the gold earrings (I wear these often), and the Chanel like sling backs (they are very comfortable). I love the little brown mule, the acrylic bag as well and I saw a salesperson at Anthropologie wearing the red boots (very cute in person).

My friend Britt told me about this cookbook and I immediately ordered it! I don’t bake that often, but this book makes me want to start baking! I think preserving these old recipes and the stories that go along with them is important and part of my Southern heritage!

“Experience mouthwatering Southern baking—from humble home kitchens to innovative new Southern chefs. One of the world's richest culinary traditions comes to life through this essential cookbook from bestselling author Anne Byrn. With 200 recipes from 14 states and more than 150 photos, Baking in the American South has the biscuits, cornbread, cakes, and rolls that will help you bake like a Southerner, even if you aren't.."

If you’re doing a little more fall decorating for Thanksgiving, I really find this video from Studio McGee so inspiring! I’m filing these ideas away for next fall!

I’ve been craving this Roasted Cauliflower lately and need to make it this week! Serve it with grilled chicken or just on it’s own! It’s the best cauliflower I’ve ever tasted!

Burgundy is a huge trend this season and it’s such a pretty color! Here are a few burgundy pieces that I think you’ll love! So perfect for fall and going into the holidays!
