Time to Get Cozy
And just like thatβ¦our weather turned from gorgeous and mild to downright cold! Weβve had the most glorious weather until today and the high was 58! Iβve been freezing all day long and weβve had to turn on the heat! It will get warmer next week but for nowβ¦Iβm really not prepared because my winter clothes (sweaters, boots, etc.) are packed away in bins because of our closet/bathroom renovation! Can you guess what Iβll be doing this weekend just in time for temperatures to be back into the 70βs! We usually have warmer weather at least through October with maybe a few cool days but I definitely want to be prepared when the temps drop again to stay!
The cooler temperatures do have me thinking about getting cozy and so today, Iβm sharing a few things to do (and wear) when itβs cold outside! Keep scrolling because this is a good postβ¦be sure to read the article about the benefits of colder weather for our bodies! Youβll also want to revisit the two recipes Iβm sharing below because itβs healthy comfort food season and theyβre so delicious!
The cozy outfit Iβm wearing is from Boston Proper (only available in a pretty pink now) and I do truly love it! Itβs so soft and warm and perfect for chilly mornings and evenings by the fire! Can you tell that sitting by our outdoor fireplace is one of my favorite things in the world?
I found a few similar sets at great prices here!
And you might also like this top and pantsβ¦also from Boston Proper!
Two Easy Comforting Recipesβ¦
Chicken & Corn Skillet Bake with Poblano Chilis and Lime
This skillet bake is so deliciousβ¦serve it right out of the skillet for an easy weeknight dinner!
I just posted this Sausage and White Bean Soup recently and I already want make it again! I love to have leftover soup in the refrigerator for lunch when the weather is cooler! This soup is perfect for a crowd and actually is better the next day!
Articles From Around the Web
Summer is usually when I read the most, but Iβm determined to read a few books this fall! There really is nothing better than getting cozy with a good book! I read Becoming Madam Secretary this summer (it was excellent) but havenβt read An American Beauty or On Mystic Lakeβ¦they are ordered and in the queue.
Have you seen the John Derian for Target Thanksgiving pieces for fall! They are amazing and so well priced!
βDesigner John Derian has a passion for vintage illustration, drawn to 18th and 19th century imagery of the natural world. Collaborating with Target in a limited-time collection, these gorgeous and giftable pieces are sure to find a favored place at any holiday celebration.β
Iβm especially loving the cute butter dish and artichoke candle which is unscented. Picture these artichoke candles scattered on your Thanksgiving table among pumpkins and seasonal greenery!
All of these pieces will add a touch of whimsical fall to your home decor.
When the weather gets cooler, I always want to have hand cream and lip balm within reach. Iβve found these clean beauty products from Evolve Together that smell so delicious and are so very moisturizing. Youβll want to have them in every room!
And finallyβ¦Iβm leaving you with a recipe from Whatβs Gaby Cooking - Momβs Apple Crisp! Iβm making this today so we can have it over the weekend with vanilla ice cream!
So tell meβ¦what did I leave out? Give me your cozy season recommendations please!
As always, thank you so much for stopping by and I would love to know your thoughtsβ¦leave a comment below!
