The Vacation Edit
Sleeveless tops, swimsuits, and sandals worth the splurge!
I’m craving warmth and sunshine right now! I don’t remember living through such a cold May in my lifetime and honestly, I’m ready to be outside and feel the sun on my face! We’ve had a few teasers…warm days in the 80’s and then the temps drop down again.
I can happily say that this weekend, finally, it’s going to be warm and it looks that way for the whole week…and our pool opens so I can’t wait to go and sit in the sun with a book for a little while tomorrow!
So with that in mind, I think it’s time to pull out (and wear) summer tops, swimsuits, and sandals! Today, I’ve rounded up some truly standout pieces for summer…whether you’re going on vacation or just headed to the pool, I know you’ll love these looks!
BTW...everything in today's post is linked in my ShopMy storefront, along with hundreds of other pieces I'm loving right now. I add new finds several times a day…follow along so you don't miss anything.
I hope it’s warm where ever you are! Happy Weekend!
I first discovered Alémais a few years back and the brand is only getting better! The gorgeous set above is so elegant and perfect for a special dinner out. Paired with gold stilettos and beautiful jewelry along with an unexpected beaded fish bag from Staud, you’ll be the best dressed at any event. I think the dress or the pants above paired with a beautiful blouse are elegant enough for a summer wedding and I’d also wear these pieces for a rehearsal dinner or a summer gallery opening. All of these gorgeous Alémais pieces are on my wishlist for summer and I know they’ll be in my closet for many summers to come!
Brown is so much richer than black in the summer light and it’s crisp and elegant when paired with white. A flowy polka dot sarong with a brown one piece swimsuit (love the ruching at the top) and off white sandals is such a sleek poolside look. Complete the outfit with a the cutest shell embellished raffia bucket hat and leather strap pool bag along with tortoise sunglasses. And…don’t forget a bold lip color. Also, I am seriously loving a new brand I stumbled upon called Eliou. They make the most gorgeous summer necklaces and much much more. Be sure to spend a few minutes looking at the Eliou website…there are so many beautiful and unique items to peruse (and buy)!
I don’t think eyelet ever went out of style, but this season, it’s bigger than ever and I’m loving it. Trade your jeans for a pair of striped cotton pants and a romantic white eyelet top for the quintessential summer look. I love these pieces paired with leather sandals and a more structured raffia tote bag that holds all your essentials (sunscreen, lipstick, snacks, etc.) and doubles as a stylish bag for the farmer’s market.
