The Spring Dress Edit

Every spring when the weather starts to warm up, I get excited about spring dresses! There are so many occasions in the spring that call for a feminine dress…from weddings and lunches to graduations and beach trips everything in between.

Whether you’re looking for something dressier or something more casual for everyday wear, the stores are full of options! Today, I’m rounding up a few of my favorites so keep scrolling to the end for a boutique with options at most price points!

Ulla Johnson is one of my favorite brands and she never disappoints with her beautiful fabrics and flattering designs! This dress is beautifully cinched at the waist and comes alive with a red Hibiscus print with hand-painted botanicals inspired by a vintage tapestry. This cotton poplin dress features short puff sleeves that frame the pleated bodice and unfurl to a flared midi hem. The belt is removable, while the gathers at the hips add elegant structure. It has a V-neckline and the best part…it has pockets! My shoes are by Loeffler Randall and go with everything as does the bag from Cult Gaia.

Farm Rio never disappoints with their fun and lively summer prints! This linen dress has tasteful side cutouts and is slightly fitted. I added a pair of cream block heel sandals and a bag by Cult Gaia.

Alemais is a new brand for me and I’m just in love with these gorgeous dresses! They are a sustainable fashion line that uses low impact fibres such as Hemp, Ramie, Organic Cotton and European Linen.

β€œWe are a contemporary brand with an artisanal focus. Cultivating a spirit of adventure with social, environmental, and ethical issues at heart. We respect traditional craft and techniques so that we can preserve a part of history. AlΓ©mais celebrates an eclectic mix of unique natural textiles, hand crafted embroideries and exaggerated shapes. Inspired by historical references redefined for a contemporary wardrobe.”

This is my last post until my new blog is up and running because I have to stay logged out in order for 9 years of posts to transfer over to the new site! I have so much to share and lots of ideas!

Yesterday, my Instagram post was about a lingerie company called Love Lexxi. The company is all about body positivity and encouraging women to feel good about their bodies just as they are. I wrote a little about my story of feeling insecure about my body as well as my struggle with anorexia in the caption for the photos. The comments were through the roof. I think, as women, we all struggle with feeling confident in our bodies and it’s a daily journey that includes lots of awareness to overcome a deep rooted societal norm. The point of talking about this is that…because of the overflow of comments I received, it’s clear to me that body positivity and body insecurity are topics that women want and need to talk about. I’m planning to dive deep into more topics such as this and, of course, I’ll still be sharing fashion, lots of delicious (and healthy) recipes as well as upcoming travel!

So…it’s goodbye to the old Crazy Blonde Life…it’s been such a ride and I’m excited to bring in the new! Thank you so much to everyone who has supported me over the past 9 years…and some of you may be happy to know that I won’t have any ads on the new site!
