A Santa Approved Sweet Treat Basket and a Festive Cocktail Recipe

Time is ticking and Christmas is coming wether we’re ready or not! If you’re looking for an easy way to wow your guests (or your grandchildren), this easy sweet treat basket is for you. Everything is store bought with the exception of the Chocolate Peppermint Graham Crackers that I made with Graham and Hudson last week (the recipe is here), so it’s really quick and easy to put together. You could definitely use any homemade element that you have time for, but the fun is in the presentation!

I used decorative Christmas sugar cookies that I purchased from a local baker, caramel popcorn, cute and festive petit fours that I found at the grocery store, candy canes, M & M’s, Hershey kisses, oatmeal raisin cookies, and other assorted candies. I just played with the arrangement until it made me happy so there is no specific order, except if you’re using M & M’s in little cupcake holders, add them last.

My grandsons went crazy when they saw this basket and didn’t know which sweet treat to choose! They ended up eating one thing on the spot and choosing one thing to take home for later!

I had so much fun putting this together and it will become a tradition starting this year! If you want to add an adult element to serve with this basket, keep scrolling and watch the video to learn how to make a Dirty Santa White Russian! I promise you’ll want to make it every night until Christmas! It’s sooooo delicious!

I’ve also included a boutique at the end of the post if you want to order cookies or candy!

Dirty Santa White Russian

This drink is indescribably good! The rim of the glass is dipped in a combination of chocolate syrup and coarse sugar…how could that be bad!

In a glass rimmed with chocolate syrup and turbinado sugar, add ice cubes, combine 2 ounces of vodka, 2 ounces Kahlua, 2 ounces of simple syrup, 1 ounce brewed coffee or espresso, and add half & half to fill the glass! Enjoy!

*I made the simple syrup by combining 1 cup water with 2 tablespoons honey and 3 cinnamon sticks. Boil until the honey is combined, remove from heat and add a teaspoon of vanilla extract. If you don’t want to go to this trouble, just use simple syrup or agave nectar.
