Summertime Is Pool Time - Poolside Dreaming
“In the right light, at the right time, everything is extraordinary..”
~ Aaron Rose
Summertime is pool time and ever since I can remember, I have wanted a pool in my backyard! I don’t have one yet, but I’m still dreaming of a beautiful backyard retreat! I can’t imagine anything better than a day spent by the pool with friends and a bottle (or 2) of rosé, or a book and a bottle of rosé! Here are some pool side ideas to inspire you if you’re like me and dreaming of a pool! Also keep scrolling for my new favorite summertime rosé and a cocktail recipe that I can’t wait to try!
Pretty in Pink! These flirty pink umbrellas are so fabulous, I love the white bamboo chairs with pink cushions and the having a bar so close by is perfection!
Another view of this fabulous pool! Chess anyone?
This pool has a South of France Provincial feel. I have no idea where it’s really located, but if I had to guess…
Big floats are so much fun and this one is a fun contrast to the silver orbs floating in the pool! Umbrellas are crucial for providing a spot of shade even when a pool house is close by. I’ve found that Wayfare has a great selection at every price point!
The iron furnishings, antique planters and the beautifully manicured lawn give this pool a Parisian feel!
What a courtyard! Somewhere in Morocco…I would never leave!
The double lounge chairs make a great place for cozy conversation as does the jacuzzi. The fire pit, outdoor rug and immaculate landscaping make it ideal for year round entertaining.
So Chic! This one may be my favorite! The shaded area is so fabulous for taking a break from the sun, but still remaining poolside. I’ll take the pup too!
If you look closely you can see a wisteria covered pergola, accented with a chandelier, creating an elegant outdoor lounging area.
A pocket sized pool tucked into a stylish space!
A private oasis!
Now this is what I call a private made for one pool! Midday dip anyone!
Similar to the margarita, the paloma is a perfectly delicious, tequila-based drink. This recipe for Pink Grapefruit and Chamomile Palomas features homemade grapefruit soda, with a touch of chamomile and orange zest. It’s truly a special summertime treat.
