Styling Winter Neutrals
Happy 2023! I hope you all had a great holiday and are ready to jump into 2023! Iβve been taking some time off (okayβ¦yesterday) to rest because I canβt seem to shake this annoying cough that Iβve had for 3 weeks! It has really caused me to slow down, even though I havenβt wanted to but I still did manage to get the Christmas tree down!
Yesterday, I made our traditional New Yearβs Day lunch with all of the foods for luck and prosperityβ¦black eyed peas, collard greens, coconut rice (not traditional but delish), cornbread and chocolate pie. Baldy and I packed up the food, got Amos in the car and went to our daughter Laurenβs house to eat with them! It was a beautiful day and we had a great time! Iβm going to post these recipes this week because theyβre all so delicious and I canβt figure out why we only eat collard greens and black-eyed peas once a year!
When we got home yesterday, I took some time to start reflecting on 2022! For some reason, I havenβt been feeling that warm and fuzzy feeling about last year so it was good for me to look back and reflect! Iβll go into this more deeply in another post, but one thing I realized that I already knew is thisβ¦there is always always always something to be grateful for and usually much more that you see on the surface!
Soβ¦I always seem to turn a simple fashion post into more, but thatβs how life is! A cute outfit is a great thing, but itβs just the icing on the cake because you look better in a cute outfit when youβre living your best life!
When January rolls around, I always want to add a few new pieces to my wardrobe to take me through the next couple of months! January and February can get a little monotonous after the excitement of the holidays and the sometimes dreary weather so a few fun pieces can add some excitement! Neutrals are always a good investment because theyβre so versatileβ¦keep scrolling for a few ideas if youβre looking for a few wardrobe updates!
If you havenβt tried a Veronica Beard dickey jacket worn with a dickey, itβs a must have! I donβt like to have bulk under a blazer so the dickey is the answer and they come in so many different styles so you can dress your blazer up or down!
Simple, chic and cozy! What more could you want from an outfit!
These fun little boots will add pizazz to any outfit and theyβll be great in spring and summer as well! The cozy coat is so stylish and well priced and Iβm loving the wide leg jeans!
Another chic look that will go right into springβ¦obsessed with these fabulous boots!!
Brighten up a dreary day with an all white look! The red lipgloss is all the color you need!
Iβm getting into the swing of 2023! I have some great posts coming up this week, including my Richmond Travel Guide and a Vision Board post and later todayβ¦my recipes for our New Year lunch! Be sure to check back often! Thanks so much for reading today!
