Spring Sip & Savor - A Seasonal Cheese Board
Celebrate spring with a beautifully arranged seasonal cheese board that features a delicious contrasts of flavors and textures. Start with a creamy Brie that pairs perfectly with sweet, strawberries and crisp green grapes. Nestle in a rich blue cheese that offers a bold contrast and add a Wensleydale with apricots which is a tangy cheese with a touch of sweetness. Soft and earthy goat cheese adds a delicate note and it’s so fabulous with crunchy, candied pecans for an added layer of texture.
Assorted crackers are perfect for sampling these cheeses, while fresh herbs like thyme and mint give the board an interesting look and added freshness. Don’t forget a bowl of Castelvetrano Olives that pair well with everything and add a small dish of red pepper jelly for a spicy-sweet kick. I also added a few white chocolate covered pretzels because…why not? This spring cheese board is a feast for the senses, ready to be shared with friends.
I wanted to make a board that felt light and seasonal…this one is perfect for a spring evening!
In addition to the fresh herbs, I used a few pansies from my yard to make the platter even prettier! I also used two kinds of crackers that work well with all of the cheeses…Miltons Multigrain Crackers and Carr’s Whole Wheat Crackers.
//Castelvetrano Olives//Large Oval Platter (less expensive here)//White Chocolate Pretzels//Small Bowl (set of 5)//Candied Pecans//Small White Bowls//Red Pepper Jelly (my favorite)//
A cheese board is one of the easiest ways to entertain and it allows you to be as creative as you want to be! Head to the grocery store and get the ingredients for your cheese board and serve it for dinner! You know…I like mine with a glass of rosè! Enjoy!
