Refresh Your Life for Spring

“To live is the rarest thing in the world. Most people just exist.” ~ Oscar Wilde

With all the added hours we’re still spending at home these days because of the pandemic, it's easy to get tired of the same old surroundings. Since you have some extra time on our hands, and it is the season of renewal, why not use this as an opportunity to change things up a bit? Just remember, spring cleaning doesn't have to be all about boring, tedious decluttering and disinfecting. Those things are essential, especially given what's currently going on in the world, but you don't have to limit yourself to the boring chores on your checklist. Read on for ideas on how you can easily upgrade your life for spring!

Buy some new pajamas for Easter! I’ve had my eye on these pajamas for quite a while and finally bought them to wear for a collaboration I was doing (that’s my story). I’m not sorry…they are so cute and I’m planning to wear them when my grandsons Graham and Hudson come over on Easter morning to see what the Easter Bunny brought! They’ll be perfect for pictures! I may need to buy them in all the colors!

Consider your grey jeans neutral and wear them with everything! Ultimate Grey is one of the Pantone colors for 2021 and it’s paired with Illuminating which is a bright yellow. “Practical and rock solid but at the same time warming and optimistic, the union of PANTONE 17-5104 Ultimate Gray + PANTONE 13-0647 Illuminating is one of strength and positivity. It is a story of color that encapsulates deeper feelings of thoughtfulness with the promise of something sunny and friendly.”

Get out your bicycle and go for a spin! Bicycling is great exercise and the spring is a great time to go for a ride…it’s not too hot and the scenery is beautiful!

Get a puppy! Last spring we got a puppy and it was the best thing we ever could have done! We love our “little” puppy Amos more than anything! In fact, we’ve decided he needs a playmate so we’re on the list for another doodle to keep him company! We’ll be a two dog and three grandson household!

Set a pretty table for Easter!! I found this beautiful china 2 years ago at an antiques shop and had to have it. I think it has all the spring colors and I’ve already set my table! Be sure to check my Instagram on Saturday for a tour of our home decorated for spring!

Try Trinny London cream makeup! You’ll love this makeup because it blends so easily and stays put all day long! It’s become my favorite and the stackable containers make it so easy to travel with!

Fresh asparagus is at it’s best in the spring! The best way to enjoy it, in my opinion, is by roasting it until it’s just tender and then topping it with pancetta and Parmesan cheese! It’s so addictive and so healthy!
