What to Wear for a Visit to New York

01

Happy Saturday! I’m in New York with my daughters and as per usual…I packed horribly! Bad packing usually leads to more shopping than I should be doing, but ah well, what can I do?

Had I planned ahead, I would have put this post together before coming to New York! I think these outfits are just perfect for anything you may want to do while visiting New York and I’ll definitely be revisiting these ideas when I come back! These outfits were put together with packing in mind so some of the pieces are used several times which is how we should be packing!

From a dressy night at Radio City to Brunch in Soho, I’ve got you covered! I hope you find these ideas helpful!

It was raining here yesterday and we spent the day shopping in Bergdorf Goodman! We started with lunch at Goodmen’s Bar which is located on the second floor of the mens store! It was lovely and the food was delicious! After a leisurely lunch, we headed to the second floor for a little shoe shopping and then to the 7th floor to drool over the holiday decor! On the way back down the elevator, we stopped on the 5th floor to try on jeans and then we went all the way down to the basement to shop for makeup! It really was an all day shopping event and we had so much fun!

We had dinner last night in Soho at La Mercerie and it was over the top fabulous! The restaurant is just beautiful right now… decorated with lots of twinkly lights and the most beautiful flowers! The food was beyond delicious and we really had a great time! I highly recommend this restaurant if you’re looking for a great French meal!

We are staying in the Union Square area of New York and our hotel is right across the street from the Union Square Farmer’s Market so that is the first thing on our agenda for today! After we’ll be heading back to Soho for lunch and a little more shopping!

I’d love to know what you think of this post and please let me know if you have any restaurant recommendations for us! Have a great Saturday!

Fun outfits and such a fun thing to do with your girls! I’m curious as to what your daughters are wearing. My girls are a bit older than yours but I would love to see what’s in with the younger ones. Enjoy your time together!

Fun outfits! And all that shopping in NY with your daughters sounds like a
    wonderful holiday tradition.

      Hi Annemarie

We had such a great trip! The weather wasn’t the best but we still had fun! I’m so blessed to have wonderful daughters that I love to spend time with!

I LOVE THIS POST! I grew up in Connecticut, went to school (briefly) in NYC and can’t wait to get back for a visit! Homesick for the Big Apple! I know it’s changed radically from when I was there so I zero in on these posts. I’ll reach out to you next year for any additional 411 prior to my (fingers crossed) trip. In the meantime, much love to you and your family and Happy Holidays!
