A Week of Casual Summer Outfits

Life is too short, enjoy your days, laugh at every chance, cry only if you must, and never let others bring you down.

Summer is in full swing…finally. One of the words that comes to mind when thinking about summer dressing is ease! When the temperatures are in the 90’s or higher and happy hour is calling, the last thing you want to do is wear a complicated outfit! Summer is a time to show your personal style and there are so many different and easy outfits to wear…from shorts to rompers to matching sets to my personal favorite - maxi dresses! The best part of summer fashion is that the dress code is more relaxed. Denim shorts look just as refreshing as a dress if paired with the right shoes and of course, matching sets are perfect for cocktail parties, brunch or just coffee on the porch. Summer dressing, like summer itself, is easy and fun and the less complicated, the better! Here are a few outfits that will hopefully inspire you to show your personal style this summer!

An off-the-shoulder romper is one-and-done and so chic. I’ve paired this romper from Poupette St. Barthe with the cutest sandals from Bells & Becks (closeup below) and a very packable hat by Eric Javits. The earrings from Cult Gaia provide a little drama!

These sandals are from a new to me company called Bells & Becks. They honestly make the cutest shoes I’ve ever seen. Made from Italian leather, these shoes are not only chic and well made, they are also so wearable! Be sure to check out the website because you’re going to love them as much as I do!

Loungewear at it’s finest. I call this a day gown…for one of those mornings when you really want to look cute, but it’s too hot to have anything touch you! This gown from Anthropologie is flowy, feminine and romantic and perfect for coffee on the porch.

Cause a little bit of summer is what the whole year is about!

Denim shorts have always been my go-to summer uniform. Pair them with anything from a simple tee, a button down shirt or for a chilly evening a cropped cardigan. Sandals or sneakers keep the look casual and work with any top. The shorts I’m wearing are from Agolde, but my favorites are about 15 years old from 7 For All Mankind. They’re oldies but goodies and I’ll grab them first every time!

Farm Rio is summer magic! The prints are bright, happy, feminine and fun! There is truly something for everyone and I can’t get enough. I have dresses, pajamas and swimsuits and absolutely love it all! The dress I’m wearing here is unfortunately sold out, but there is always something new and fabulous to choose from! Keep scrolling for a boutique with more from Farm Rio!

Matching sets have come a long way in the past couple of years and they make so much sense for summer! Almost as easy as a romper or jumpsuit…the separates look great together, but also pair well with jeans and shorts making them more versatile. This tropical print set from Loft is cute and affordable.

My fabulous maxi dress is from a small company called Livro. I found it at Monkee’s of Wilmington and I’m so loving it right now…actually kind of obsessed! It’s perfect for warm summer nights when you want to dress up a little but still be comfortable! Be sure to check out the website to see more. These dresses have a definite Palm Beach vibe and make me want to sip a cocktail on the veranda!

Boho at its best! This easy dress ties in the back and at the waist and that’s it! Add some sandals and a summer bag and you’re ready for anything from brunch to a cocktail party. I wore this dress to a casual al fresco dinner at Bald Head and got so many compliments. I love to add statement earrings and wear my beachy hair under a hat or up in a clip!
