January Edit - Move Forward in Gratitude
As each year comes to an end, we begin to think about the year ahead…to set goals and make resolutions with the intention that the year to come is better than the past year. What we all really want is to live a fulfilling, joyful life…we want to be happy and that means different things to different people.
Some people live the same year over and over again and call it a life, while others strive to improve every year.
One of the best ways to move forward with intention is to look back with gratitude. Before you begin to plan and set goals for 2025, consider taking a moment to look back at your memories from 2024. What worked well for you, what do you have to celebrate? What could you have improved upon and more importantly, what did those things teach you?
In doing this exercise, you begin to see how important it is to “complete” the past year. Feel gratitude for the moments that took your breath away, the quiet moments savored with loved ones and the successes…but also, feel gratitude for the lessons learned and the hard things you overcame.
Let go of any anger, anxiety or unrest…take only the good memories and the knowledge into the new year.
True gratitude puts you in a place of creativity like nothing else does. Remember this as you plan for 2025. Success in all areas of your life…financial success, health and fitness goals and fulfilling relationships begins with deep gratitude for what you already have.
Gratitude puts you in a mindset that allows you to move forward in the most beautiful and creative way. It clears the mind clutter and lights a path to where you are going.
Practice gratitude daily for the gift of life itself and all that it brings..
Feel a deep knowing that you are deserving of your desires and believe that gratitude is the gateway to living your best life. Take this feeling into every crevice of your life and watch things change in a way you never dreamed possible.
Every new year is symbolic of a fresh start, a clean slate and endless possibility, but the real truth is…each moment of your life holds those same opportunities!
December is a lot for most of us…there are parties to attend, decorating to do, shopping to finish, holiday cooking, entertaining and the list goes on. It’s admittedly not usually my best month for getting to the gym and honestly, I’m somewhat exhausted by the time it’s all over…can anyone relate? Full disclaimer here - today I’m particularly tired because I slept with a three year old in a queen bed with Baldy and Amos last night and the word sleep really doesn’t describe what I did! Bristol, my grandson, wanted to have a sleepover with Suz and of course, I could not say no! I wouldn’t trade those sweet snuggles for anything in the world but tonight, I need to get to bed early!
The point to all of this is…it’s time to get back to the gym and I’m really excited! I’ve gotten some new workout clothes, joined a new Pilates studio, bought a new harness for Amos along with new fleece lined leggings, and I’m ready to go.
I’m so grateful for my health, for the opportunity to workout and for the beautiful neighborhood I live in that’s perfect for long dog walks! Whatever kind of exercise you do, keep scrolling for a few items that will help jump start your 2025 fitness journey!
Amazon has a wealth of options for health and fitness items! Baldy and I love the Ultima Electrolyte Drink mix and drink it in the morning and in the evening! Be sure to click the link below for my full list of self care and fitness items and get your body moving!
Today is Baldy’s Birthday and the whole family is once again getting together for dinner this evening! It’ll be a busy day for me and I’m headed to the grocery store!
As the year comes to an end and we celebrate the New Year, my wish for you is that you feel the joy of deep gratitude for what you have and that all your wishes come true for 2025!
While this isn’t my last post for 2024, I wanted to encourage you today to take an hour or so to look back at this past year and celebrate everything about it! Even the hard times came with lessons learned and that is a blessing! Sending lots of love and gratitude for you all!
~XOXO Suzanne
