Styling a Sweater Vest

I’m all about being comfortable but I still want to have on a cute outfit!
The weather here has gone from freezing cold, to highs near 70 back to highs in the low 50’s! Honestly, I feel like I need to have a huge assortment of clothes to dress appropriately for this crazy weather! That’s one reason I’m loving this sweater vest! I bought it in New York back in November and I’ve worn it so much!
This sweater vest is luxe, lightweight cashmere and it’s perfect for creating an effortless layered look! I’ve worn it with a blouse underneath and a leather jacket over, with leggings and jeans, and next I plan to style it with off white jeans. Honestly, it’s most comfortable with a tee underneath because a white blouse needs to be adjusted every now and then, but a tee stays where you put it!
My cute olive green jeans are by Mother Denim and I would definitely consider them a neutral. I love them with the black, but this sweater would also look great with regular denim and an army jacket or, as I said above, with white or off white jeans and a denim jacket. It really is such a versatile piece and could even be worn as loungewear because it’s so roomy and comfy!
I’m not sure if I’ve told the story of my old (very old) Tory Burch clog booties, but…probably 15 years ago, I bought a pair of clog booties from Tory Burch and they have been my most worn shoes and my most loved shoes (actually I still wear them even though the heel is coming off!)!
I loved my booties for many reasons…the heel height, they were comfortable, and they were oh so cute! I’ve looked everywhere for another pair…even similar…even pre-owned, but couldn’t find a pair! Enter Veronica Beard, Winter 2022…the Veronica’s made a pair of clog booties that are almost identical to my beloved Tory Burch booties! I’m wearing them here and they are so comfortable, and cute and I’m in love with them! They come in black suede and brown suede and obviously I purchased the black booties, but the tan ones are in my cart! Why not, I know by the time I factor in price-per-wear, they’ll be free (don’t you love my reasoning)! Keep scrolling for links to my booties, this outfit and more sweater vests!
