Get Fit…Get Organized!

Getting fit and organized are always the themes for January after the excess of the holidays! I will admit that I really fell off the exercise train over the holidays and I’m ready to get back to the gym! I did manage to still take my supplements (these supplements are my daily tried and true) and do a few pushups at home, but there’s nothing like a good workout to make you feel accomplished and ready for the day! It’s also nice to refresh your workout clothes every now and then because they certainly do take a beating when you’re wearing them often!

I’ve rounded up a few of my favorite Amazon finds below that should help you with your fresh start for January. Also, keep scrolling to the end because I’ve started a whole conversation about organization and ironing…of all things! And…I’m also linking my YouTube workout videos!

If you’re like me and let the busyness of the holidays interrupt your workout, I hope you get back to it! My main concern as I’m getting older is to keep my bones healthy and strong and keep some muscle definition…that’s what motivates me at this point in my life! I have recorded several workout videos on my YouTube channel that you may enjoy and my plan is to do more of these types of videos as well as expand my cooking and travel videos on YouTube in 2025! I better get busy!

And on another note…I finally got my Christmas trees down yesterday and it took a while but it feels good! I took the time to clean out ornaments that I no longer wanted and actually cleaned the inside of my storage bins. Everything is in the basement now waiting to be put away. I still have some purging to do down there (and everywhere), but I’m really feeling the need to get organized probably because our living situation is a bit chaotic right now! Speaking of organization, I ordered this makeup brush organizer to help keep my things in order since I’m cramped in such a small bathroom at the moment!

On a complete other note…I’m wondering if anyone irons their sheets? I have been ironing mine for years and recently saw a very cool rotary ironing board from Miele that was very pricey and also found this one on Amazon…wondering about the difference in quality. It would be so nice to have a gadget to make ironing easier!

I’ve been thinking about changing the way I make our beds and only using a fitted sheet with a comforter (duvet) on top. Seems like that might make things easier with the one exception of putting on the comforter cover. I know this is a more popular way to make a bed in Europe and just wondering if anyone has thoughts?

Hopefully, next week, I’ll be able to share some pictures of the bathroom reno and also some of my picks for tile, cabinets, etc.!

I hope your year is off to a good start and that you’re feeling energized!

As always…thank you so much for reading and let me know what’s on your mind!

~XOXO Suzanne
