Fall Traditions and Musings
“It was quite chilly out today. It reminded me of my longing for autumn…sweaters, scarves and cider, fires, football games and warm soup…crunching leaves and crisp air…memories.”
Does anyone else still love Tumblr? I’m so inspired by beautiful images and today, I’m sharing a few inspiring fall images and some of my musing…Happy Friday!
Fall Traditions…decorating with pumpkins, making pumpkin pie, wreaths made from seasonal greenery, new sweaters and boots, a harvest party, apple cobbler, new lipstick and slowing down!
The biggest thing about being in my late 50’s…I’m finally learning not to care what people think of me and what I believe. I never speak my mind with the intention of hurting someone, but I am no longer so intimidated that I keep my mouth shut. I don’t need to seek validation or approval from anyone to do what I want. Setbacks still sometimes upset me, but I know that they happen for a reason and I try to figure out what that reason is and still move on. My life, my business and my marriage are still evolving and always will, but I know that I am ultimately in charge creating a life I love.
Having said that…here are a few things that are inspiring me to be creative and surrounded by beauty.
There is nothing easier or tastier than a charcuterie board. Everyone loves it and it makes a beautiful display! Read all about cheeses and how to create your own charcuterie board (some call it a grazing table) here, here and here.
I still have hydrangeas blooming in my yard and I’m planning to dry some and keep them inside until time to decorate for the holidays. If you want to dry your own, read this article.

It’s been a while since I’ve actually been into an Anthropologie store and I really miss shopping there! It’s such a happy store and I always find something (multiple somethings) that I love! I have been perusing the website however and here are a few great things for fall!
I hope you all have a great weekend!
