Everything I Bought and Loved So Far In October

First of all, let me apologize! I promised a recipe today and it didn’t work out…let me explain…

Yesterday, I went to the grocery store and got all the ingredients for a delicious roasted chicken dish - Roasted Chicken with Sourdough Bread Chunks. I got home and got busy and totally forgot about how early it gets dark these days so by the time I got around to putting it all together, it was too dark to photograph it! We did have it for dinner last night and it was so very delicious…really one of the best chicken recipes I’ve ever made. I served the chicken with a simple green salad and we really enjoyed it! In the meantime, you’ll also love this chicken recipe…it’s another one of my favorites!

I am making the Roasted Chicken with Sourdough Bread Crumbs again today and I’ll start in plenty of time so look for the recipe tomorrow!

Anyway…I do hope you get some shopping inspiration from my favorite October purchases so far!

//standing desk//

Some days, it feels that all I do is sit in front of my computer and I worry about getting the butt spread from sitting so much! I ordered this standing desk so I can push it around anywhere in the house and work! It hasn’t come yet, but I know it’s going to be life changing! My theory on this is…don’t sit when you can stand and walk as much as possible!

//gold earrings//

It seems like I have broken or lost so many pairs of gold earrings recently so I ordered these from Amazon. I think they’re very chic and they’re lightweight so they’re comfortable to wear…and you can’t go wrong at $14!

Denim Vest

//denim vest//

I just received this cute vest from Amazon! It’s a cotton/polyester blend so it has a little stretch and it’s a great piece! I tried it on yesterday with a pair of olive green cargo pants from Veronica Beard and gold sandals and it was such a cute look! Be sure to check out my Instagram stories to see the video!

//Nars Lipstick//

Lipstick and earrings…two things I always seem to loose! I think there might be a place where all my lipstick hides from me but for some reason, I can’t keep up with it!

I was with my daughter last week in Columbia and purchased this lipstick from Nars. It’s very sheer, feels moisturizing and it comes in lots of colors so you can find the shade that’s right for you! I certainly hope I don’t loose this one because I really like it a lot…

Solor Powered Outdoor Lights $26

//solar powered outdoor lights//

I have been begging Baldy to string lights outside on our patio for a couple of years now and when these solar powered ones went on sale for Amazon Big Deal Days, I nabbed them! Now that they’re here, I wonder how long it’ll take to get him to put them up! I might have to figure it out myself!

Dolce Vita Silver Slingbacks $130

//Dolce Vita Shoes//

These shoes…I wasn’t so sure about them when I bought them, but I’ve been needing some silver flats so I thought I would try these! I absolutely love them! They are from Dolce Vita, so the price is right and they are so comfortable. I’ve already worn then so many times and they really do match everything! This look is trending right now, so you may want to give them a try!

Gucci Loafers

These Gucci loafers were a splurge and I’m not sorry about buying them! I’m treating them as a neutral and they’re so classic! They’re great with jeans, trousers and even dresses so I’m sure when it comes to price-per-wear, I’ll get my money out of them and wear them for years to come…

//Pumpkin Clove Candle//

This Pumpkin Clove Candle from Anthropologie candle smells like fall in a jar and it makes my whole house smell like I’m baking a pie! It’s my favorite fall candle so far!

Cuffed jeans are very of-the-moment and if you’re thinking of trying the trend, these from Anthropologie are affordable, so cute and they fit well. They’re high waisted and look great with cropped tees and sweaters and I love them with booties. They’re also great with the silver shoes above from Dolce Vita!

//Make It Easy Cookbook//

Make It Easy by Danielle Walker is my favorite new cookbook! It’s full of beautiful photography and the recipes are healthy, easy to make and delicious!

Happy Monday…I’m catching up on errands and picking out marble for our bathroom today! I’m learning so much from this renovation and hopefully the kitchen will be a breeze! Thanks for reading and have a great day!
