Casual Fall Style
Happy Saturday! Every week flies by so quickly and I try to remember each day that it’s a gift to be alive and to make each moment count!
This weekend is going to be so exciting because my daughter Rebecca and granddaughter Stella are coming today and in the morning we’re all leaving for Columbia, SC to visit our youngest daughter Sarah and brand new granddaughter, Lawson. Lawson was born on October 22 and she weighed 6-1/2 pounds. I literally cannot wait to get my hands on her! She is number five and we couldn’t be more thrilled to welcome her into the family! I am so blessed and grateful!
And now…on to the fashion…
I’ve had this fabulous gold jacket in my closet since May and it’s finally time to wear it! I got it when I was in Los Angeles at the Madison Maison Mother’s Day event and it’s just been too hot to wear it until now. We’ve mostly only had a few cool evenings and mornings with a few exceptions. Even though some days it feels more like summer than fall, it certainly looks like fall! The leaves have been beautiful this year and are putting on a show!
Metallics continue to be a huge trend and this jacket could be styled in many different ways and definitely can be dressed up or down. As you probably know, my style is pretty casual so I decided to wear it with my new straight leg jeans from Joe’s Jeans. Joe’s is a brand that I haven’t worn often but I’m loving the style and fit of these jeans. They are high-waisted, straight leg and cropped. They hit me just at the ankle which makes them a perfect length to wear with loafers or booties. I would also not hesitate to wear a pair of slingback pumps to dress this look up a bit more!
The black cashmere cardigan and white tank are also from Joe’s Jeans and together, they make up a very classic look.
My necklaces are from French Kande…
Obviously, the jeans, cardigan, tank and loafers are all hardworking separates that will be part of many looks this season. I’m loving little cropped sweaters with high waisted jeans and the jacket adds a touch of bling. I think the gold bit on the loafers ties the whole look together. My bag is from Celine and was a Christmas gift from Baldy last year. It’s a classic bag that I’ll wear for the rest of my life. I’m linking a few similar bags and loafers below.
I’m including a boutique below that includes everything in this post plus a few more favorites from Joe’s Jeans! Enjoy!
I’m working on Holiday Gift Guides and next up is my Gifts for the Cook! It should be up later today…
Also, don’t forget to download my Thanksgiving Survival Guide. It includes recipes, ideas for setting the table and a few outfit ideas as well!
