The five elements, including wood, fire, earth, water and metal are regarded as the building blocks of all natural phenomena. Interconnected yet opposing, they enhance and diminish each other. Wood feeds fire, but it also parts Earth.
Known as the Wuxing, these elements have been used to interpret everything from the cosmos to our internal bodies for centuries. They were also the inspiration behind The Harmonist’s collection of ten signatures scents. There is a corresponding scent or scents for each of the elements.
It’s interesting to know that Wuxing is a fivefold conceptual scheme used to explain a wide array of phenomena, from cosmic cycles to the interaction between internal organs,

To find your element, click here. I was interested to learn that my element is Yin Fire and the corresponding candle is Hypnotizing Fire. This candle is described as “a seductive fragrance that nurtures the wearer like a gentle flame. The mellow sensuality of Madagascan vanilla and Benzoin is enriched by the subtle notes Bulgarian rose, Indonesian patchouli and pimento berries harvested under the Jamaican sun. Warm and glowing, it’s an enchanting Yin scent that revives and restores.” I love this scent and it’s perfect for me which I also find very interesting…
The Harmonist began as an idea to bring balance through scent.
