Campo Grande Charcuterie

One great thing about being a content creator/influencer is the opportunity to learn so much everyday from working with the best brands. Campo Grande reached out recently and wanted to send me a Charcuterie Sampler and I jumped at the chance! Campo Grande is on a mission to deliver the best of Spains delicious food culture right to your door! I create so many charcuterie boards for the blog and for entertaining and I’m always looking for something new and different and I certainly found it with these meats! The sampler I received consisted of…

2 x (2oz) Sliced IbΓ©rico Chorizo: Smoky pimentΓ³n paprika and fragrant garlic. The true essence of Spanish terroir.

2 x (2oz) Sliced Paleta: Velvety thin slices of acorn-fed Shoulder ham aged for up to 3 years in ham cellars

5 x 2oz Sliced IbΓ©rico SalchichΓ³n: Indulge in a peppery age-old recipe passed down from generations of Abuelas with both traditional and exceptional flavors.

I paired my meats with a smoked cheddar cheese, a creamy blue cheese, a blueberry goat cheese, fresh figs, grapes, olives and local honey along with French bread croutons and rosemary crackers! My favorite combination was the blue cheese with IbΓ©rico SalchichΓ³n, a bite of fig and a drizzle of honey! That’s the great thing about a charcuterie board…everyone gets to make their favorite bite!

The meats in the charcuterie sampler come from Iberico pork. Iberian pigs are found only in the Iberian Peninsula in both Spain and Portugal. They are very old pigs, tracing back to over 12,000 years ago.

Iberico pork has a unique look compared to most other ham and pork products. Instead of a pale pink or white color, Iberico pork is often a deep red and is marbled with fat. It traditionally looks more like raw beef.

Not only is this meat very delicious, it comes from small family farms that raise their animals humanely on pasture, and without antibiotics or growth hormones…this is the ultimate slow food.

These meats are great for…

The ultimate host gift for foodie friends - the holidays will be upon us soon!

Dinner party Tapas appetizers - so easy and delicious!

Pairing with Spanish wines and bold cheeses - great party idea!

Starring in epic charcuterie boards - anytime of year but especially in the fall!

Breakfast toast and eggs - add a fried egg over the meat and drizzle with honey!

Happy Labor Day…I hope you’re all having a nice long weekend! It’s hard to believe that summer is coming to an end and I hope you savor every last second!

Leaving for Bald Head on Tuesday or Wednesday while the rest of the bathroom tear out is happening! Hopefully when I get back, we’ll have some sheetrock and be ready for the fun part!

And a few things for fall that caught my eye!
