A February Afternoon in the Park

“You’re only here for a short visit. Don’t hurry. Don’t worry. And be sure to smell the flowers along the way. “

~ Walter C. Hagen

I just can’t stop talking about the weather here in North Carolina! I know that much of the country is experiencing snow and very cold weather so it feels weird for me to say that the temperatures were unseasonably warm here yesterday with high’s in the 80’s. Even though I enjoy the warm weather and I’m so ready for the spring/summer season, the climate change issue is concerning!

In spite of that, I still took advantage of the day and decided to do my photo shoot in the park.

Today, I’m showcasing an outfit from Boston Proper that I absolutely love! This is a look that can be worn from now into fall!

I’m a big fan of Boston Proper jeans because they fit so well! I’m wearing their 5 pocket high rise slim jean with a straight leg. These jeans look just as good with sneakers as they do with heels and they come in six colors so you can literally wear them with everything.

Another basic essential is the ribbed v-neck tank top which also comes in six colors. I love a column of color (or white) with an interesting cardigan or jacket and the cardigan sweater I’m wearing here is lightweight and perfect over this tank! The belt is from my closet and I added a pair of white Golden Goose sneakers. This is a winning look for spring and one that I’ll wear often!

I pulled my Six Three Zero Electric Bike out of the garage the other day to get it ready for spring and thought it would make an ideal prop for these pictures. The adorable basket didn’t come with the bike, but being the romantic that I am, I thought it was a much needed accessory to hold flowers, wine, a picnic, a book, or anything else you might need when you set off for a bike adventure!

The flowers were done by my neighbor and friend Lyn Moser and they couldn’t be more beautiful! She simply snuggled 3 vases into the basket, surrounded by bubble wrap for this stunning arrangement!

I only ride my bicycle when the weather is warm and when I get back on for the first time every season, it seems that I have to get the hang of riding again, but it didn’t take long and I had a blast! Even though the bike is electric, most of the time, I prefer to ride it as a regular bike! I know…weird right?! I just like to think I’m getting some exercise! It is nice to be able to turn it on and coast on a longer ride…

I’ve always wanted to get a picture like the one above…now I guess I can cross that off my list! I hope you all have the best weekend, no matter the weather where you are and be sure to check out the new spring styles from Boston Proper!
