16 Outfit Ideas for February - What I Wore
Good Morning! Here is a quick roundup of outfits ideas from this past month or so. While going through these outfits, I realized just how much I wore my Spanx leggings (you’re probably so tired of hearing about them) and how versatile they are. This post feels a little strange right now given the warm weather we’re having, but it should be over and cold again by the weekend, so don’t put those sweaters away just yet. I’m including links to most of the pieces and I’ve tried to update items that are sold out.
I’m loving the light blue right now and I think it’s especially fun to mix up a basic jeans-and-sweater outfit with unexpected accessories like this clear PVC bag. I’m on the hunt for different color wallets and makeup bags to use in it for spring. If you don’t have one of these yet, they are the perfect bags for concerts and sporting events where you need a see-through bag. It’s so much more stylish than a ziplock!
This outfit has become somewhat of a uniform for me. The booties are several seasons (suede version here) old and I hadn’t worn them for a while, but I was thrilled when they worked so well with the Spanx moto leggings. I’m also really into cross-body bags right now. Yes, they are a trend, along with PVC bags, but it’s so nice to have my hands free when I’m running errands.
This outfit was inspired by an Instagram post. I recreated it with Gucci boots that I’ve had in my closet for many years. I still love these boots, although it might be time to take them to be shined up a bit. The coat is also several years old, but still fabulous…I was very warm on this cold day!
I’m not normally one to wear sneakers when I’m out and about. Usually I’m wearing some kind of a bootie when it’s cold, or a sandal in the summer. However…I found these fun velvet Tretorn sneakers while I was tearing everything out of my closet. The jacket is one I ordered from Topshop (love love this faux shearling one!) that is so soft and cozy. The combination of the leggings, jacket and sneakers felt like a good outfit for a cold day.
I ordered these white booties from Zara and was so excited when they came that I changed clothes and took these pictures. This pink fur jacket (similar here) is one of my favorites!
This leopard dress is another Zara purchase. It was on major sale ($20.00) so I figured, why not? I was a little unsure whether I liked it or not, but I definitely liked it better when I threw the Nanette Lepore coat on over it. Can you ever really have too much leopard. The over-the-knee boots made me like the outfit even more, however the jury is still out on this outfit…what do you think?
It was a very large box from Zara, including this coat…but everything was on sale! I call this a car coat and I love how boxy it is and the color is great. The booties (also from Zara) are the perfect color with the coat and surprisingly go with so many things in my closet. I particularly like it with some of my floral blouses (that post is coming). My jeans are by McGuire.
There aren’t many women’s clothing shops where I live, but there is a Loft and they are ALWAYS having a great sale. I popped in the other day and found several blouses that were 40% off and the one I’m wearing here is one of them. It’s on trend with the small print and will also look great with white jeans.
I will stop talking about the Spanx leggings, however, you do need to pop over to the Vici website and look at the fun things for spring!
I’m in love with this outfit and will wear the pieces separately and together all through the spring and into the fall. Adding a bag with some color is a great way to add interest to a black and white outfit! This one by Tory Burch would be perfect for a summer day!
This whole outfit is pieces that have been in my closet for quite a while. They are all essential wardrobe pieces and again…the bag adds great color to an otherwise neutral outfit.
This was my “I’m having a badass day” outfit! These boots are my very favorites!
This military jacket is one of those pieces that I probably paid too much for, but I’m still in love with it two years later and I don’t regret it! If you see something you truly love, you will get your price per wear from it!
My sweater is from Vici and I paired it with Frye booties that I found at the Frye store in Nashville!
Can you ever have too many leopard sweaters? I’m linking several fun ones below.
Judging by the comments on this blog post, you all really liked this outfit! These pants are so versatile and always look great when I need to be a little more dressed up. The sweater is so warm and really special.
I’m adding new ideas to my Pinterest boards lately, including outfit ideas as well as yummy food and fabulous interiors. I hope you’ve enjoyed this post!
