6 Podcasts You Should Be Listening To

I’m all about maximizing my time to get the most out of my day which usually means that from the moment I wake up until the time I go to bed, I’m trying to be productive. I started listening to podcasts about a year ago, and now I honestly can’t imagine life without them. I now actually look forward to long drives in my car knowing I’ll have time to learn something new, dig into an interview with a fascinating person, or get inspired. These are the 6 podcasts I come back to again and again because they always leave me excited and inspired to live life to the fullest – and of course I always love discovering new ones, so tell me yours in the comments!

10% Happier with Dan Harris

If you haven’t read Harris’ book by the same name, I highly recommend picking it up and learning about the story that inspired this podcast. Harris had a panic attack live on Good Morning America, which sent him on a search for enlightenment (his hero’s journey). On his podcast, he interviews people who bring intention and awareness into their successful lives.

How I Built This

Anyone who runs a business, dreams of running a business, has a side hustle, or just loves hearing the stories behind some of the most amazing companies in the world will be riveted by Guy Raz’s interviews with innovators, entrepreneurs and idealists. One of my favorite episodes is an interview with jewelry mogul Kendra Scott.

The goop Podcast

I’ve always loved the Goop blog and was so excited when I heard about the Goop podcast. The topics and interview subjects are always so interesting; I always learn something new and leave feeling curious and engaged and who else but Gwyneth Paltrow could have her first interview with Oprah Winfrey! Gwyneth and Chief Content Officer Elise Loehnen take turns interviewing inspiring people across medical, spiritual, and creative industries. I love the bold conversations that occasionally get a little controversial. This one will make you think!

Oprah’s SuperSoul Conversations

Anyone who knows me knows that I have loved Oprah for a very long time. I credit her with opening my mind to accepting a different idea about what spirituality is and changing my life for the better. That’s pretty awesome. Oprah is the queen of inspiration and her podcast is no exception. She has access to the most incredible voices across wellness and spirituality and knows how to interview like no one else. I always feel enlightened after listening to her SuperSoul Conversations.

Podcasts

Invisibilia

β€œUnseeable forces control human behavior and shape our ideas, beliefs, and assumptions. Invisibiliaβ€”Latin for invisible thingsβ€”fuses narrative storytelling with science that will make you see your own life differently.” I love Invisibilia hosted by Lulu Miller, Hanna Rosin, and Alix Spiegel. Every time I finish listening to one of their podcasts I have an overwhelming need to tell someone about it. It's the perfect blend of interesting, inspiring and educating.

Tim Ferriss Podcast

I became a Tim Ferriss Fan a couple of years ago and if you’re not familiar, Tim is an investor, author, speaker and an extremely motivational and inspiring person. He is high energy, has a wealth of knowledge, and makes me feel like I can conquer anything in my life. One of my favorite episodes was when Tim talked to professional snowboarder Shaun White (his first episode) about β€œThe Magic of Who Cares?”.
