The Only Way Out Is Up!

Sometimes you need to step outside, clear your head and remind yourself of who you are, what you're capable of and where you want to be.  Sometimes you have to venture outside of your world in order to find yourself.  I've travelled so much this summer with two more trips coming up and I'm figuring things out slowly. I'm officially in be bold mode after being thrown a couple of curve balls just recently and determined now, more than over to not be shaken by things I can't control.  Sleep has been difficult because my mind is so full and that makes for days with a foggy brain.  I've also been feeling a little sorry for myself, which never helps.  A good blogger friend of mine, Cheryl, from Northwest Mountain Living said in her post today -"the only way out is up"!  Well she's right!  Figuring out where to go from here and what's missing.  I've had so much fun with my daughter Sarah this week but sadly she's leaving tomorrow, so I'm taking stock and filling in the gaps.  What is missing...?  I have adventure coming up with a trip to the Cayman Islands (maybe swimming with the stingrays), a fashion fix with my trip to New York Fashion Week, family time with my very pregnant daughter, Lauren, in Atlanta and a visit from my daughter Rebecca next week.  I think what is missing is contentment, not in a complacent way as in being content with what I have or how things are.  It's more a feeling of restlessness and wanting everything settled now...I'm feeling anxious about what's coming because things have been in turmoil for so long.

Because of all of this, I'm turning once again to stepping up the self care.  That means, less wine (I'm trying), more avocados and wild blueberries, more exercise and long meditative walks, more meditation and yoga and I'm adding a few supplements to my routine.

Every morning I mix my potion of powders with an extreme amount of water before having coffee.  I use Welleco Super Elixir Greens, Vital Proteins Collagen Powder and Goop Glow which is a power shot of antioxidants for my skin as well as Moon Dust adaptogens.  This combination of super healthy powders has definitely made my skin clearer and my hair and nails stronger, not to mention better gut health which is so important.  I take magnesium in the evening and I'm adding The Beauty Chef Sleep Inner Beauty Powder and Uma Calm Essential Oil in the hopes that the combination will help me to sleep better.  The Beauty Chef Sleep Inner Beauty Powder is a blend of probiotics and antioxidants along with lemon balm, passion flower, turmeric and cinnamon that is mixed into warm nut milk with just a little honey an hour before bed.  I've just ordered it so I'll let you know how it works.  Sounds heavenly to me!

Fall fashion, is also on my mind in a big way, as well as new make up and products as summer is winding down. I'm sharing a whole boutique of favorite things below that you'll love.  Some of them are fantasy for me (the shearling jean jacket), but others are very affordable and will make great additions to your wardrobe and beauty cabinet!  Just click on the pictures to shop!
