Looking Back and Moving Forward
You don't have to have it all figured out to move forward...just take the next step!
It seems I just finished saying that I can't believe half the year is over. It's easy to lament the passing of life and wish you could relive moments or stop time but as I look back on the past six months...I simply can't believe how many exciting things have happened here on Crazy Blonde Life. Instead of wishing for time to stop or wishing I could have a redo, I'm focusing on appreciating where I am right now. I realize that I'm right where I'm supposed to be and I'm loving the accomplishments that brought me to this point!
When I started Crazy Blonde Life, I knew I had something to say, but truthfully, I didn't know exactly what and I didn't know exactly how. My life had been a series of ups and downs; we all have that in common. I wanted to start a conversation, but it took me a while! Around January of this year, I decided to start talking...really talking about my life, my feelings, and what I had learned so far. Midlife is a time of serious change and sharing my story really resonated with those of you who read my blog. All of this lead me to create an e-book called "The Midlife Comeback Plan". It's a free and downloadable e-book for anyone who wants inspiration for living their best life! The e-book features inspiration, a workout video, healthy recipes and lots of fashion advice. You can download it by clicking here. It was surely a labor of love that I'm very proud of and also a huge learning process. I so appreciate everyone who has supported me!
I loved this Valentine's Day photo shoot with the balloons. Sometimes blogging is like playing dress up as a child and it's so much fun!
Over the past 6 months, I'v talked about expecting miracles, changing your life (one step at a time), overcoming doubt and overwhelm, and delved into "what makes you fierce at midlife?". I've shared recipes, ideas for a French themed dinner party, some fun fashion, and I've done a little traveling. One of my most popular posts was sharing my lower eyelid surgery.
One of the highlights of the past six months was being featured on the amazing You Look Fab Website (in case you missed it, you can see it here)! They called the feature, Polished Casual in North Carolina! You Look Fab is all about style advice for fashion lovers and I was beyond honored to have Crazy Blonde Life showcased as they chose their favorite fashion posts from the blog!
One of the travel highlights to date, was my trip to Nashville. Rebecca and I met Sarah and we were tourists for a few days! We stayed at the fabulous Noelle hotel, right in the heart of downtown Nashville!
This picture was taken at Bald Head Island, and if you've been reading my blog for a while, you know that it's one of my favorite spots on earth. Bald Head Island is a great place to let go of your stress and relax and this post is all about responding to stress.
A few other fun things and a hint about what's coming!
Not long ago, I made a new workout video for my YouTube channel. It's a short core strengthening workout that anyone can do in about 10 minutes. It's been my most popular video to date and I'm planning another one very soon so stay tuned.
I've been thinking so much lately about my health and what we all can do in midlife to feel and look our best. I'll be talking more about that in the months to come.
I'm also looking ahead to fall fashion...what's trending and how to mix those trends with your classic pieces!
I've been working hard on my Pinterest Boards (if you can call that work!) and I hope you'll follow me as I post about fashion, yummy food and more!
A HUGE THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO HAS SUPPORTED ME BY READING CRAZY BLONDE LIFE! ALSO, A HUGE THANK YOU TO TAYLOR MOSER (TCM DESIGNS) FOR HELPING ME WITH PHOTOGRAPHY AND EVERYTHING TECHNICAL!
