Wearing Yellow - The Must Have Color
Sorry, guys, but black did not make the list as one of the must-have colors in this year's wardrobe. Instead, the choices lean toward bright shades like yellow. Before you start having a panic, however, neutrals are still and forever popular (for those who fear a little color in their closets).
Call it mustard, marigold, or lemon — all these tones fall into the yellow category. According to an executive director of the Pantone Color Institute this color is "a beacon of light," so it's obvious why so many labels included it in 2018 collections. The sunny vibes are sure to catch everyone's attention.
If you don't have a lot of yellow in your wardrobe, start small. Invest in accessories that come in this shade to test-drive the trend.
One of my favorite ways to wear this color is with a print. Put florals on anything and suddenly, we're ready to wear the standout piece with boots, sandals, heels (sneakers, not my favorite) — you name it.
I'm including some fashion forward looks with yellow from the Pop Sugar Website. It's a great street style site that will give you loads of outfit ideas...even though you might want to tweak them just slightly! I did through in one leopard look that I love minus the bra over the chambray.
The days of summer are still flying back faster than ever! I'm actually starting to think just a little bit about what my fall fashion post are going to look like! I've been cutting out pictures and pinning like a Crazy Blonde! Be sure to check out all my Pinterest Boards for more ideas for summer and fall! Happy Tuesday and thanks for reading today!
