Light and Love

My goal here on Crazy Blonde Life is to be authentic.  I'm honest about who I am and what I believe and If you like me that's fantastic, and if you don't, that's fine too.  You can never please everyone!  As I've gotten older, I've realized that we don't all have to agree, but I do believe it's important to be exactly who I am in a nice way.  Crazy Blonde Life has evolved over the past year and become a place for me to share my thoughts about life and the lessons I've learned going down this path.  My ideas are part of me and I can't pretend to be a person who has no opinions, just to please everyone. I would hope that my honesty is something that gives me credibility or at the very least a trust factor.  I'm not going to pretend to like something just to sell it and I'm not going to pretend to be someone I'm not, just to get people to follow.  I will to continue to share my honest journey and, at times, that might include an opinion that some don't agree with.  That's ok because this world would be a very boring place if we were all the same.  It won't hurt my feelings if anyone stops reading this blog because Life is to short to worry about what everyone else thinks.  I would rather stand up for what I believe.

I posted on Instagram today...because every time I turn on the radio, or watch television, I'm really upset by the cries of children being torn away from their parents on the Mexican border.  It wasn't a political post.  I just think the policy is inhumane and I think the First Lady's choice of fashion was absurd...she could have worn anything.  I would think the same thing no matter what my party affiliation.  I'm a mother and I cannot imagine how I would feel to have my child torn from my arms.  Yes, I do have my opinions about immigration, but I wasn't posting about that.  I have never claimed to be a Trump supporter, so nothing new there.  I had so many comments on the post, but several comments suggested that I'm not allowed to have an opinion!  What???   One person even said that she enjoyed my blog, but why did I have to go there (meaning be political) and she said "bye bye" as if I was worried that she wouldn't follow me any more.   It's totally her choice, obviously.

We are a global society and what affects one child affects us all.  Children are innocent when they're born and their lives are shaped by circumstances.  It has been proven that what is best for a child (with exceptions of abuse) is to stay with their families.  The world can be a cruel place...and, like I've said before...HURT PEOPLE, HURT PEOPLE.  These children are being deeply hurt and are therefore being taught that it's ok to hurt others, but it is not.  I don't claim to have all the answers but I believe with all my heart that tearing families apart is not the answer.  I believe you get back from the world what you put into it.  Let's bring light and love into the world and not create more fear and hate.  There's enough of that already.

I especially love to talk about fashion on Crazy Blonde Life, because I think a great outfit makes you feel good and helps you to put your best foot forward.  I also really enjoy a nice meal with a fabulous glass of wine in a beautifully decorated space.  All of those things, plus more workouts and reflections on life...will continue to the focus of this blog.  It's about lifestyle and life, and sometimes, life gets a little messy.  I don't want to pretend that this space is a little bubble where nothing hard ever happens because clearly it isn't.

I hope you all have a great Sunday.  Spending sweet time with my family today as everyone starts to get here for my dad's funeral service on Thursday.  Thank you so much to everyone who sent me loving words.  I consider so many of you dear friends, even though we've never actually met.  I'm blessed in so many ways and it deeply hurts me to see others suffer.  Please don't leave me comments about your views on immigration.  This post is not about that...it's simply about my heartbreak over these poor children and my honesty in sharing.  We should all care!
