How to Wear Wide Leg Cropped Pants
Wide leg cropped pants are everywhere this season and don't show signs of going away anytime soon. I am not tall, 5'4" in fact, and short waisted. Because of this, it can be a little tricky to style pants that are cropped AND high waisted. I really need to make sure that I'm not visually cutting myself in half by tucking a shirt into high waisted pants. Every time I've worn these white pants by Club Monaco, in the past, I'm embarrassed to admit that I've worn the very same sweater with them. I decided to mix things up a little and I paired them with a floral blouse (last seen here) from Ann Taylor. It's very thin and somewhat sheer so I was able to pull it out a bit at the waist, making it blouse over and not define my waist so much. I added a pair of Stuart Weitzman wedges and came up with this outfit. Everything I'm wearing is several seasons old, but new again because I'm wearing all of it in a different way.
If you're looking for a pair of cropped wide leg pants, make sure to find the perfect length. You want some ankle to show.
Unless you're really tall, the best shoe for cropped is one with a heel. I've seen Adidas sneakers paired with these pants and it's NOT a trend that I'm loving.
Be creative and try on different tops, blouses and shoes until you find the look that is right for you. Every body type is different!
I'm also enjoying the statement earring trend this summer and I've included some links for favorite pairs at different price ranges!

I found this pair of Stuart Weitzman wedges on sale at Nordstrom Rack, but sizes are limited.
I've also styled this same floral blouse with jeans and love it!
