Looking Younger, A Poem About Forgiveness...This & That
Sometimes, I enjoy doing a This & That post, because there are things that I want to share that don't have a particular theme. That's today! I hope you enjoy this random selection of things that I'm fascinated with right now! The POEM AT THE END is my favorite!
Do you believe that there is a Secret to Looking Younger Forever? This article on one of my favorite blogs, Goop, is a must read if you are interested in looking younger and staying fit and healthy as you age. The article is an interview with Dr. Sara Gottfried who has written a book called Younger, a Breakthrough Program to Reset Your Genes, Reverse Aging and Turn Back the Clock 10 Years. In the book Gottfried "shares the keys to avoiding inflammaging, staying fit, retaining the natural structure and beauty of your face, and extending your own healthspan". I have ordered my copy and can't wait to start reading it!
I just ordered this Pure Rose Water Fragrance by fashion designer Behnaz Sarafpour! I'm so excited for it to come and I am pretty certain that I'll be obsessed with it!
This outfit has me really wanting warmer weather! I love a good striped blouse or tee for just about anytime of the year! I also think my toes are tired of being in boots and would rather wear sandals! Keep scrolling for some of my favorite sandals and striped shirts!
I made this Oven Roasted Salmon with Parmesan Mayo Crust for a dinner party and it was so delicious! Get the recipe on one of my favorite food blogs - She Cooks, He Cleans.
I'm always on the look out for new blogs and I discovered this one called Vicky Archer not long ago! I highly recommend you check it out!
I've shared my love of photography by Carla Coulson before on the blog, and I just can't get enough of these photos from her JEUNE FILLE EN FLEUR series! You can see more of these beautiful photographs here.
Last night, I was working on a spring vision board and going through a folder with pictures from magazines, blog ideas etc., when I ran across this poem. I don't remember where it came from, but it's so special that I wanted to share it!
"To forgive is not to forget.
To forgive is really to remember
That nobody is perfect
That each of us stumbles
When we want so much to stay upright
That each of says things
We wish we had never said
That we can all forget that love is more important than being right.
To forgive is really to remember
That we are so much more
Than our mistakes
That we are often more kind and caring
That accepting another's flaws can help us accept our own.
To forgive is to remember
That the odds are pretty good that we might soon need to be forgiven ourselves.
That life sometimes gives us more than we can handle gracefully.
To forgive is to remember
That we have room in our hearts to
Begin again,
And again,
And again.
