10 Things to Do With Your Life in December + A Poem for Sunday
Mailboxes are overflowing, cookies are in the oven, and if you’re anything like me entire guest bedrooms are being transformed into gift wrapping stations. December brings with it a special sort of crazy, and I’m all about savoring the joyful moments amidst that chaos. While we often find ourselves scrambling to please others during the holiday season, it’s also important to make time for a few things that make you happy (whether that’s sipping hot chocolate or watching Christmas Vacation for the 64th time.) Scroll down for ten fun ideas for what to do this month!
Go see The Favourite, a new film from The Lobster director Yorgos Lanthimos (starring Olivia Colman, Emma Stone and Rachel Weisz).
Make a fabulous Cheese Board and invite your favorite people over to share it!
Make festive Christmas Cookies and share them with neighbors.
Make this warming and healthy Chicken and Avocado Soup. Use rotisserie chicken if you’re short on time!
Deck the Halls with Beautiful Holiday Greenery
Buy a new pair of Christmas Pajamas
Add a leopard print coat to your wardrobe!
AND FINALLY THE POEM
Love people while you have them, while they are here and you both are whole. sometimes getting lost in translation is easier than being accountable for the hearts we hold in our hands. Be careful not to wait for the people in your life to slip away before realizing they should’ve been held close. Do not live regretting not sharing your best love. Love hard, shamelessly and truly. It’s important that we know every single second is one that should be valued, appreciated and cherished. There’s nothing worse than a love lost due to neglect. Be mindful not to take advantage of time; once it’s gone we do not get it back. ~ Alex Elle
