A Not So Basic Bag - Les Petits Joueurs

I've recently discovered Les Petits Joueurs Bags and I'm just in "love" with them!  I've been posting on Instagram about them for several days!  Les Petits Joueurs was started by Maria Sole who was raised in Florence, Italy and moved to Paris at the age of 20.  She began a fashion experiment using LEGOs and an old handbag.

"With LOVE spelled out in colorful LEGO bricks, Maria Sole stepped into the Parisian night scene wearing her first creation, and was pleasantly surprised by the amount of attention it attracted.  It's success resulted in an outpour of personal orders from friends and family."

Shortly after, Maria moved to Sao Paulo and continued to design bags.  Her work took off and her bags were worn by Brazil's "it girls", actresses and models.  She was nominated Ambassador for Farfetch Brazil and became the face of several other fashion brands due to her popularity.

The popularity of Maria's bags took her back to Florence and she launched Les Petits Joueurs first collection in 2014.  Also in that year, she was invited to participate at Vogue Talents which is a competition for promising emerging designers.  She won the competition!

The purses are quirky statement pieces made in Italy and sold in 145 countries in exclusive boutiques and department stores.  These bags have been seen on the arms of Jessica Alba, Amal Clooney, Olivia Palermo and so many more style icons!

A bag from Les Petits Joueurs makes the perfect Valentine's Day statement and certainly is a show stopper!

In these pictures, I'm wearing the Les Petits Joueurs bag (shop all Les Petits Joueurs bags here) with flare jeans by Paige (similar here), a sequined jacket from Rebecca & Co. Greensboro (similar here and here), Michael Kors platform sandals and a versatile sleeveless turtleneck from Worth New York.  Keep scrolling for links to similar items.

In the pictures below, I'm wearing the bag with a sweater dress with arm slits by Philanthropy (similar here), Commando tights (which are so amazing) and Stuart Weitzman over-the-knee boots (half price here).

I hope you've enjoyed this post and I would love if you would leave a comment!  Have a great day!
