Wearing Leopard Coats Into Spring
There are so many things to reflect upon from 2017 and areas we aspire to improve upon in 2018 but one change that is quick and painless is a wardrobe refresh. Despair over believing that you don't have anything to wear is not a good frame of mind for starting a new year. Today, I'm suggesting pieces to go with everyone's favorite pattern, leopard!
Standing in my closet in front of a sea of leopard, I wonder which coat to choose and if I need to buy another one...ever! There are so many different prints and colors and styles and after all, leopard is a neutral. Clearly, I have been having a leopard moment this week since this is my second post with a leopard coat. Coats have certainly been the thing to wear lately, and as I look out my window today at the snow coming down, things aren't going to change anytime soon. The snow is beautiful, but enough with the cold! Spring weather will be more welcome this year than ever before.
The day these pictures were taken, the temperatures were slightly warmer and we took the opportunity to get outside while the weather allowed. If it had been too much colder, I probably would have worn over-the-knee boots (40% off) with my leopard coat so my ankles wouldn't be exposed. This coat would also be beautiful with a cream color turtleneck, although black is such a classic look (love this one and this one which is on sale).
The ChloΓ© bag craze has been going strong since 2015 and shows no sign of slowing down. The bags have been seen on the arms of some of the most stylish and they are truly swoon-worthy. If you're looking for the perfect bag to pair with your denim, suede and flares (huge trend), this bag might be for you! Some of my favorites are below!
Have you ever looked in your closet and realized that you had more than a few of something (fill in the blank here). That's how I am with striped tees, ok and leopard coats, jackets, booties, etc...! When the first sign of spring comes, I love to pull out a striped tee and wear it under a leopard coat or jacket with brown booties. Stripes are in my opinion, just as neutral as leopard and can be worn under anything! Another trend that I'm going to be wearing this year is graphic tees. Either would work well with leopard. Express and Revolve have good selections of graphic tees (favorites below) as does Gucci if you want to spend the $$, but my favorites are from Monogram. If you're thinking about refreshing your striped tees for spring, here are links to some of my favorite striped tees.
If you're looking to update your shoe collection for spring, you don't want to miss out on the lucite heel trend. Style the shoe trend with cropped jeans, a simple tee and a leopard jacket or floral midi dress! My favorites lucite heel booties are from Rag & Bone, but I've included links to others below! So many to choose from!
Finally, I'm linking some of my favorite leopard print jackets and coats, including a fabulous one from Target that will be you go-to for spring dressing!
I hope you've enjoyed this post! I'm looking forward to a relaxing day of watching the snow, making soup (look for the recipe on the blog this week), doing a little yoga and reading a book by the fire!
